South Africa 2010 (3 Viewers)

It is painfully obvious that one ref cannot do the job properly. The players of today are just too fast for one man to be where he needs to be at all times. FIFA needs to wake up. Time to come into the 21st century. -- Al

Gotta say this has been the best game I've watched so far in this WC (and I have watched all but 2 of them). Great pace and high excitement. The Lions need to chomp some more German bratwurst. Heck, even Mick looks into it. -- Al

It is a disgrace to have a blown call like this on the world's largest stage for soccer. FIFA needs to wake up, and at the very least, install technology that guarantees no outrageous missed calls effect the games. This is the most basic and important element of the game. When a game turns on one goal, it is essential that no goals be lost to archaic notions of tradition. The calls must be correct. One ref is insufficient. Come on FIFA, get with it! -- Al

The worst call I've ever seen. You don't see them that bad in EPL matches. Of course that idiot Blatter will do nothing.

Geez, these Germans are really good. Just shooting the English defense to pieces, like it doesn't exsist. Now, that goal that wasn't, is the turning point. Nice job, FIFA.:rolleyes: -- Al

So true! :(

Well, now I have to pick another horse to back for the race to the finish. All 4 of my nags went belly up. The Yanks, Tommies, Aussies, and Kiwis are all done.:( This is a bummer. -- Al

You play a 2-2 game different than a 2-1 game so I'm sure the result would have been different. However, with that 2-0 runup early on, you could tell that Klose does make a difference to them as he was not present during much of game 2 of the group phase or allof game 3.

Good night guys. Nearly 2am and time for bed.
Same problem as Al. Who to support now ? Won't be Germany or Argentina !
Regards
Brett

We were awful, today, really awful.Germany fully deserved their victory and many congratulations to them. The England team are getting slaughtered on the BBC.

Well done Germany. For me only one good thing will come out of today's performance,it will shut our god awful press up.

Rob

I knew going in we would be on our way home, England just aren't that good !!
Maybe, but as I said before and as Brad said, that disallowed goal changes the whole game. Would have been interesting to see the game at 2-2. I guess those are the breaks when the ruling Gods of FIFA won't acknowledge the need to update. -- Al

England outrun by the younger, faster Germans, but England attacked well and were unlucky. I thought Germany played a stronger game and deserved the win, but given a break or two, I could see England winning it.

Best game of the WC so far for action, shots and excitement. Now that's WC football that I have been waiting to see.

Terry

IMO, if the goal was accepted, I am not sure that the result will be the same. England was forced to fully attack opening the entire defense line for the Germans, and again the referees F%?&?%$? the match.

Well on this time it was Germany who won the Battle of Britain.....

FT: Germany 4 England 1

Klose 20 min
Podolski 32 min
Upson 37 min
Mueller 67 & 70 min

Good Night Folks,

Raymond.
