Anywhere after march 1942 this figure could be used. The first batches of MG42 went to Heer units in early march of that year (Ending up in Afrika with the DAK as the gun did not jam as much in the desert conditions like the MG34) the LAH recieved some in April of that year with other divisions following. interestingly I have some stuff on the TK who actually were not happy at the way equipment was slow coming to them and, managed to acquire some (as troops do) in early spring/summer of that year. I don't have the exact roll out date but, one of the two factories initially making them started in january of that year at about 290 per week which, were shipped to troops as soon as made.
