Sudan Campaigns 1880 - 1898 (1 Viewer)

Thanks for posting the cool Sudan set. The captured gun is unique set.

Hello Martyn,

Thanks very much for posting the nice pictures.

It is interesting to see the matte and gloss figures by side by side.

Cheers, Raymond.:)

I believe Dragon Crest gave customers the opportunity of matte or gloss, I found these 5 together and couldn't resist buying them.

Cheers

Martyn:)

Martyn, I was under the impression that all Dragon Crest figures were matte. That was the reason for the line NOT being called Trophy.

Trophy=Gloss, Dragon Crest = Matte

Are you saying that may NOT be correct?

All my NNC and Command Dragon Crest are Gloss. I thought most were gloss from the sub-masters at rhe Trophy shop.

Hi Chuck

It appears that all the early Dragon Crest were gloss and late in the 1990's customers were offered the option of matte or gloss.

Thanks Mike & Martyn for the info on the Dragon Crest series.

When did the Dragon Crest series start and did the use of the "Trophy" named line stop or continue along with the Dragon Crest series?

Hi Chuck

I believe the Dragon Crest series started in the 1980's. In the late 1990's the two names ran side by side with the Egypt and The Sudan and Boer War ranges being re-released under the revitalised Dragon Crest banner and the Zulu War range etc continuing under Trophy.

Martyn,

I think the Boxer Rebellion series was also re-released under the Dragon Crest banner. Not too sure about this one.
