I hadn't realized that Trophy mounted figures came with flat bases. I wish that Len had done that earlier as most of mine do not have bases and the tend to fall over 😳

Kirk,
All of my figures have this on their helmet. Do yours?

All of my Khaki Trophy figures have the V flash mark. My early Trophy/Under Two Flags figures also have the V flash

I believe the "V" flash is the Roman numeral 5. The 5th of foot was the old title for the Northumberland Fusiliers.

Welcome to the forum Fritz :salute::

Len told me several years ago that the v flash mark was a generic patch used on the helmet patch of all Regiments unless a specific flash was ordered on a "Special Order".

Trophy started to add bases to their horses in late 1980's. The first horses had the square/lozenge shape, sets produced in the late 1990's had the terrain style base

Did Trophy actually make Dervish on camels or are those Little Legion figures?

Also, did Trophy ever make any Dervish personality figures such Osman Digna, the Khalifa, or dare I ask, the Mahdi himself?

I have a similar set, but the four artillery men are dismounted and carrying rifles and there are four camels to carry the various pieces of the one cannon. It is always fun to see all of the different variations of the same or similar figures.

All Trophy Fritz

Here are another couple of pictures of Dervish camels from the THE KHALIFA'S CHARGE AT OMDURMAN series

Here is a "Special" that Trophy produced which is about the nearest to a personality figure.

Hi Fritz

Here is my Naval Brigade set which is very similar to the set you describe, it was made just after Trophy changed from Under Two Flags to Trophy of Wales
