Here's another Sudan War structure that I can see you building. It looks pretty straight forward and uses many of the wood craft materials you have used for other buildings.

It is a British signal tower inside a zareba (an improvised defensive perimeter made largely of bushes in North Africa) from a field sketch published in an 1885 issue of The Graphic. It is shown in the desert of Suakin/Suakim during the Gordon Relief Expedition. Maybe John would make some figures to go with it. As they say "If you build it they will come".:)

Interesting structure Randy...I don't know if any of my soldiers are brave enough to climb to the top of a tower that I made...:p

You would need to make sure the flooring was sturdy enough to support the weight of John's figures. :D

Louis

A heliograph team would be ideal.

I would get one, especially if John did a heliograph team to go with it.:cool:

A heliograph team...or even a single figure with binoculars or a telescope would be nice...

I need something in the courtyard of my garrisson...this would be nice and looks easy to build...

a simple lookout tower...

Knew you'd give in to making one;);););)Papa Z

Idon't think this one looks particularly safe!:D

There is a potential set amongst all this. To think someone is able to reproduce and create and bring to life if they decide to put their mind to it. It would be so cool to have those skills at your finger tips, to make whatever you felt like, whenever. Cheers, Robin.

Martyn...

looks like Trophy used that picture as a reference...pretty close replica...a nice set for you too...

I really like that Trophy piece...not surprised they would produce such a quirky pose...but can we please talk more about serge grey, cause I don't think we have beaten that topic to death yet. :)

NB: I think that officer is wearing serge grey underpants (with a hint of blue).

I'm hoping that Michael will paint the signal tower a serge grey with light blue trim. :D
