I would think quality control at any toy soldier factory has to be a bit of a misnomer. Rob, you have been fortunate that you have not had any broken items and, not detracting from the service K&C UK offer as it is first class I don't think, the factory or, K&C or, many dealers have time to look at every single item and check after a delivery to see that everything is in order. particularly to look to see if a barral is lower than it should be. some may not even realise this is actually a problem if they saw it.

Remember the Flak 41 it went from completely broken to slightly to minor damage to none at all. If everyone was checking then this would never have got out of the factory or, to the collectors door. Some even got exchange after exchange that were broken.

You are just as likely to get a barral drooping from K&C HK, UK, or the guy that sells on ebay. Some have this some don't. what this thread shows (probably not how it was hoped) is its not the everyday occurance that some have stated.

I have been buying K&C and, in that time have only seen or had through my hands three items two of which were broken and one had a thumb print on a flag. I think in relation to K&C thats not bad going considering what I have bought.

Not so fast lads. I would still like to know from K&C how the movement of the barrels is controlled and if there is any way to fix loose ones. Just because your barrels are stiff doesn't mean problem solved for everyone. And over time, some of yours may droop too. :tongue:{sm4}

Terry...

Don't know if you saw the post I did about how they are constructed? Its not a difficult job to dismantle them and correct the position of the springs

I did see your post but don't understand how to do the repair. I have a spare Firefly turret I can use if you could explain the repair in more detail.

Terry..

I will have a look at the firefly turret later and see how it looks like they have constructed it and, how it would come apart. I would expect the same spring tension approach to construction but, will get back to you and we can then go from there with your turret

Ah, that's different then Neil. I only mentioned it because I think I saw Scott say he had three(was it??) Firefly's with drooping barrels, he should have sent them back in my view.

I must be very lucky when I read all this. I have several German, Allied and French tanks and none has the problem.
guy:)

Me too Guy, not one.

I had not mentioned that before. I have the warpage factor on my King Tiger barrel. I live with it as I am afraid it will break if I try to straighten it.

I love all my KC tanks and want more. I hope the problem can be surmounted from great field return information like this thread.

Same KC tank as my warpage. The other was an HB Panther. -- Al
