Texas Show (1 Viewer)

There was two years ago, I believe it's still there, I plan on making a visit.

Having lived in Hong Kong for 20 years I went to the Mad Dogs there a few times but they closed in about 2001 although still a web page up about them.
Was the place you would take overseas visitors for a drink/eat and to look at the decor which was very Colonial/Empire (British that is !) .

Regards
Brett

The decor now I couldn't attest to as the female decor had me distracted. On Friday they were dressed in kilts on Saturday they were naughty nurses.

Eborris,
Andy of K&C and his ex wife Laura set up the Mad Dogs bars.
I am sure the tartan influence would be from them.
If Jim Bowie is going to be there in Texas it is lucky I have John Chard VC of Rorkes Drift dropping into the shop when Andy is dwon here in late July.
If one of you guys going to the Texas show could post some images of Mad Dogs it would be appreciated. Would be interesting to see the decor.

Yeah, I know doesn't he also own Kings X in the Menger Hotel in San Antonio? I'll try to convince my non-drinking buddy to take some shots of Mad Dogs.

Mad Dogs was alive and well when I was there during the Chinese New Year. I enjoyed I believe they were called Scottish Eggs (Egg, Sausage fried with a mustard sauce) as well as a few rounds of Guinness! and the lovely scenery!!

Oh yes, the scenery was lovely, that's why I can't remember the decor. I do remember they had tables outside and two different bars.

Was it a hard boiled egg wrapped in sausage meat then breaded and deep fried? If so that is a Scotch egg. Probably one of the most delicious foods on the face of the earth. Good either hot or cold, never had them with mustard sauce though, usually we have them with HP sauce. Delish, now I want some :p

Looks like I'll be there Friday night and will be staying at the Contessa hotel. Mad Dogs was still there last year so I'm sure its still there.

I'm staying at the Menger, short walk to the Alamo, short walk to Mad Dogs and shorter walks to Kings X and the show.

I promise I will,

anything in particular you want a shot of John?

My fee is minimal.:D:D

No for real, any requests?

Thats real nice of you Mike, I would like to see the KingsX Exclusive figures

if they have the new ones. then anything that catches your eye! You have

excellent taste, so if it interestes you I'm sure if will be fun to view!
