Texas War of Independence (1 Viewer)

This is great to see all of the Texas War of Independence figures moved to the front of the Trophy thread again. The Alamo has always been my favorite figures to collect. I love the glossy Trophy plus the glossy Alamo figures by K & C as well. I never did get any of the 7 riding Mexicans. I only have the pose fighting the Kentucky Volunteer. If anyone should have any of the riding poses please drop me a private message. By the way, Santa Anna was done on a black horse as well as on a white horse. Tommy provided most of the pictures. I am very grateful to him in providing me with most of the information on this series. He is a great guy and was a big help to me.

These photos have been great and have helped me identify sets 1-16 but early tommy said there were 22 sets .
So my question is would they be tx-17-22 or does it end at tx 16 and the other sets would be the lancers?

**** nice sets tommy, love the lancers. Looks like len could have done some french line lancers easily

I still need the riding wounded Mexican falling backwards on the horse. I hope someone can help me find one. Thank you.

Tommy,

I thank you again for these super pictures. I just wanted to point out that the standing Davy Crockett with the rifle across his waist is from the Wild West Set by Trophy. It is Set # WW10 and is marked as Young Davy Crockett. I wish I could post a picture of William Travis TX 1 which is wearing a blue coat and firing a pistol in his right hand with a pistol in his left hand pointed at the ground. TX3 of Jim Bowie is seated on a separate stool . He is wearing a red shirt and holding a pistol in each hand with his Bowie knife stuck in the dirt between his knees. The Davy Crockett TX2 is like the ALA 1 except the base is oval rather than rectangular with a sort of dirt on the base. These 3 figures are all marked 99 under the base with the T over M insignia. I thus conclude they were revised in 1999. They are pictured in the Kings X brochure from Fall 2001-2002. I think I sent you a copy of that page. I have no idea how to post a picture. I am sorry.

Based on the catalogues I have I don’t believe Davy Crockett is from the WW range. Perhaps it’s a DC figure.

Davy Crockett is listed on the "WILD WEST SERIES" page in one of my catalogues but has a Dragon Crest number DC11

Stay safe

I have not posted here for several years but I love this series and must give one more shout out to Tommy because he is the one person who provided so much information on the Alamo series, The Texas War of Independence. Tommy did me favors and helped me find many parts to the series. He was such a kind man who helped me so much. I met him at his office in 2015 the year after my wife passed from cancer. He showed me much of his amazing collection and I will always be so grateful to Tommy for how much he did for me. He is one outstanding person and a true gentleman. I am forever thankful to Tommy.
