I was only able to purchase one [The Goerring version], but it turns out I am very happy with the choice. Great color and not as heavy as I anticipated. Looking forward to the next round of WWI planes. Planning a diorama near an airfield with the Kaiser Staffwagon, leaders, and WWI 1914 Marching Germans.

Rec'd the red version yesterday (ordered Saturday). Very happpy with this piece. Chris

I received my MVR and Voss Albatros warbirds today from K&C UK and they are absolutely stunning 'in the flesh'. I know there are often comments on the forum about figures / vehicles looking better than on the website and in the leaflets - but these beauties are superbly painted and detailed. Although no real weathering has been used, the paint colours and finishes are 'dulled' down and look just great. Infact, the colours work really well.

The box artwork is excellent too and the 3 pilot figures (I got Goering too!) are some of the best I've seen from K&C.

All in all, I cannot recommend these highly enough - 10 out of 10 to King & Country!

Does anyone own both the K&C ww1 planes as well as JJ's ww1 planes ?
How are they compare in terms of detail, painting, weathering ?
And which one do you like better ?

thanks

I have both jj and k&c and love them both. The jj are more weathered and lighter in weight. While k&c are cleaner with no weathering.

Sorry to interrupt the JJ/K&C question - I'm interested in the answer as well. But just got mine and I'm really impressed. Also wanted to say I appreciated the instructions inside for how to unpack it, which ensured I had a nice undamaged war bird out of the box.

Of course, sitting there with just Richtofen, it's making me thing I"m going to need to get more K&C WWI pieces for a proper display. Can't seem to find a way to make it work with my MKIV tank (perhaps the 1st armoured assualt on an airfield). My only other option w/exisiting figures is to have the Australian Light Horse charging past Beersheba to an unsuspecting German airfield in Palestine:)

I just spoke to a friend who has both The JJ and K&C. He said that both are great, however, the K&C's weight seems to make it much more popular with collectors. He said that the JJ is much lighter. I got the impression that they would mix OK. Hope this helps. Larry.

The KC planes look shiny and new like they just rolled out of the factory. In terms of realism and detail there is no comparison with the JJ planes. Al has posted some detailed information comparing the KC and Jenkins planes on the JJ thread for anyone who is interested. That doesn't mean the KC planes are not nice, just that they do not reflect the level of accuracy and detail that you get with the Jenkins planes. It's up to the individual collector to determine which is preferable.

I look forward to gettng my first glimpse of the K&C aircraft in London in December, they do sound very nice from what I've heard, it remains to be seen whether I resist or take the plunge.
