The British Empire (1 Viewer)

Well, guess I screwed up :redface2:
The pictures were all supposed to be the size of the third one "the trooper".
Messed up in resizing.
But you get the idea :smile2:
John's painting holds it's quality to quite an enlargement via photography.
The figures seen at arms length or looked at in a curio cabinet are simply gems.

Hi Konrad,

You are so right, these matt painted and gloss finished figures are really something else, well done to both John and you.

Jeff

You have some beautiful additions to your collection there Konrad{bravo}}

Cheers

Martyn:)

I just love John's work!^&cool^&cool Can't wait until he gets around to doing some more WWI air war figures for me.:smile2:

These look great, the blacksmith in particular with the tattoo on his arm- a great pose.

Scott

Jeff, Martyn, Louis and Scott,
thanks for your comments.
Glad you like John's style :smile2:

As mentioned in some places on this forum recently, John was featured with an article in the latest U.K. "Toy Soldier Collector" magazine, issue 45.
I had the great fortune to being asked to provide photos for the article.

Attached you see small pics of the 4 page article.
Anybody interested in reading the article, just pm me your email address and I will send you the taken pictures in a large enough format to read it.

Happy Collecting!

Konrad

I'm with Konrad, great looking cavalry, both painting and sculpts!^&cool^&cool

Here are some photos of a figure, which unfortunately is not mine ^&grin
I am posting these for fellow forum member "acw cavalry".
This is the first commission he did with John Firth.
The figure is a Bhopal Lancer Trumpeter of the Indian State Forces.
The kit is from Yeomanry Miniatures.
Another great job done by John Firth and congratulations to acw cavalry for this addition to the collection.

Gentle Friends,

That is one fine figure! In my opinion, John Firth a truly outstanding painter with very few peers. My compliments to John for completing an excellent figure, to acw cavalry for owning it, and to Kogu for helping share it with the rest of us!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat

Brilliant paintwork on this bugler by John, and I'm sure it will take pride of place in Martin's new cabinet.

I do hope that his fellow troopers aren't jealous of his uniform, it looks like offier kit :) :)

Hope you other trooper arrives soon Martiin,

John

Great new add ons to the Empire....
