Well you guys in the collector are very lucky indeed.I've been an enthusiastic flag waver of K&C for years and would have loved to be part of it.
Rob
For all intents and purposes Rob- you are my favorite KC collector- may not mean much- but talking to you about KC figures- especially the WW2 ones- makes me remember how much fun it is to collect KC.
Thank you Chris thats very kind of you and it does mean a lot mate.
Since discovering K&C in London all those years ago I've always tried to put my believe that they are the best and my enthusiasm for the product across in my posts. Now i fully understand for some it may well be annoying, but i hope for others they can identify with that too.
Thanks for posting Chris (and TD above)its much appreciated.
Rob
Your welcome- you wife is right- you are an 8 year old!! And it's that boyish enthusiasm that really really makes you so much fun- wish we could get more guys to follow your lead.
Hi Rob-
After all, be happy! Being unfairly ignored to participate in the special edition of the 25 years of King & Country is giving you more recognition from your peers as a serious K&C collector than any article you could have wrote. I totally agree with all the other members who deplore your absence in that issue and, as they do, I deeply believe that you were deserving an invitation to be part of it.
Just wondering! Has everyone recieved the paper issue? I miss my copy
We whittled this down to almost 40 (and Rob was still there) and then we put the names in a hat and pulled out those that appeared in the final issue.
Funny how a completely random draw just happens (by coincidence of course!) to include ALL the other big names of the K&C "insider circle" of special best pals.
If all the big names of the K&C insider circle were automatically included, why did Lawrence Lo (one of the big three insiders, who co-wrote the book, and co-founded the New York Symposium, with one of the largest K&C collections in the world) get left out? Ditto Mark Hoffman, one of the biggest collectors and a sponsor of the New York Symposium? Or Doug Luna, a huge collector and one of Andy's original supporters? Craig "Bubba McLean", the owner of The Old Toy Soldier Home, one of K&C's largest and longest standing dealers? Tony Ciccarello of the Toy Soldier Gallery, K&C's 1st dealer? John Adivari, a tremendous K&C collector with a great collection of the early stuff? Frankly, I can think of 10 members of the "inner circle" that were not included. If you want to stir the pot, at least check your facts.
