The authentic Chinese accessories help to set off the displays pretty well, I think.
That's four separate SOHK/IC displays we have now. Two in the living room and two in the bedroom. If the natural light is any better tomorrow, I'll try and capture all four together.

BTW, "My Precious Little Lotus Blossom" and "Bane of My Life" reliably (?) informs me that he's dressed exactly like an Imperial Executioner. Who am I to contradict her..??

That is some pretty fantastic paintwork on that fellow’s jacket to say the least. I (we) do not (as yet) have any of the IC sets but that may have to change thanks to your wonderful displays. Hope your daughter is having a great time.

Funny, but I happened to ask Missus Heid the self-same question only last week Jeff.
She told me it says;
"Hally is an ugly, baldy, squinty-eyed, short-sighted, back street spiv. So don't believe a single word he says".
So she said anyway .

But......she was slightly hacked off with me at the time, cos she found out that I gave "The Heidette", HK160 the shrine offering and HK165 the new chess players set as souvenirs of her recent visit to China. But she's calmed down now, (never takes too long), so I'll get a real translation for you later today.

Just as an aside, I reckon The Schoolteacher could double as a young Moa Tse Tung......take another look, I could swear that's a cunningly disguised Little Red Book....

Here's a close-up of what it says Jeff.

Seriously, I tried to get Little Boss to tell me. Reading from top right down, it's;

"Tsi-something (?), Xi-something (?), Zi-something (?)", at which point I gave up. She says its very old Chinese characters - 1000 years old - which I find hard to believe, and is "Very difficult to translate into modern English", unquote. Seeing as she can talk Cantonese, unless she's winding me up, then maybe it really is written in Traditional Chinese. You've got me extremely curious now. Maybe I can find some way to paste it into a "WORD" document and try running through an on-line translator such as BabelFish.
At the end of the day, it probably does say;
"Hally is a consumate liar, etc.......etc."
