Congrat's Mike, you did an awesome job and I'm glad that Andy has included it in the collector as you deserve recognition mate.

I've also just downloaded the latest edition....

Its great to see that there will be a continuation of the NAPOLEONIC French Hussars with a repaint of the latest 4 figures released this month as 3rd Hussar Regiment.

The 2 standing figures will go down very nicely as the doubles for the duellists from NA349 but I'm not sure about the 2 mounted 3rd Hussars, maybe more troopers from that regiment are coming in the future ????

I'm not all that happy about the standing hussars are being only made available direct from Hong Kong, but U suppose if you get the 4 of the X" men in one order its just under the US$250 post free offer, so I might have to add another NAP figure :) :)

Looking forward to more NAPS this year, thanks ANDY,

AND ...

I've just watched "The Duellists" on DVD ..... loved the movie, brilliant uniforms and settings that showed off life in those times.

John

Please don't drip beer on it. It is precious. Certainly better than any playboy spread....

As I was Whatsapping you pictures, I was drinking Sapporo Premium and ordering sushi safe in the knowledge that the missing parts of my Jap(anese) collection would be arriving soon 🍚🍚🍚

Woke up early after last nights Brisbane event with Andy.

Will probably have a thread about it soon but just thought I would mention a couple of hints about something to come.

Firstly I have already complained to Andy that the Collector with the Blood of the Son (ie. Japanese infantry soldiers) image on the back page was one of the biggest teases Andy has done in Collector. Particularly for Australian collectors who will be interested in who might be fighting the Japanese. However probably not a great surprise to know that Australian collectors are going to have an interest in this series.

Whilst the Collector was handed out and much appreciated it was the sketches that probably got the most interest. One particular sketch showed two figures that are going to have wide appeal even if Collectors don't normally collect that period of history. Will probably have a thread on the event started soon but that sketch (and plans for the accompanying figures ) is for me the highlight of the news from Andy from last night. Naturally an image will be shared here as not going to remain secret for long with hundreds of Australian collectors receiving them. Hopefully Peter and Howard won't mind if that information leaks out before their events.

The competition went far better than anybody had thought in terms of entries and variety and quality. Will have a thread with plenty of images up in the next few days. Judging was very difficult and three forum members did win a prize and a "lurker" did particularly well.

I did not pick up on it until later but apparently one forum member is in strife from his friends due to his poor decision making ability when having first choice of prizes in the lucky draw. More on this late breaking scandal will naturally follow (unless an injunction or hush money is received in the interim).

Thread to follow but the sketch news alone is reason to check it out. Plus there will be the news on which forum member tried to influence Andy by his choice of K&C product placement in his diorama. All I can say is that Andy did not let it affect his judging at all. Also information on the first question asked of Andy in the question and answer. What was impressive was questioner presented Andy with a book (published by Pen and Sword) he has authored on the subject of interest to him. You have to give him "A" for effort ! More on the book soon.

Alarm going to be going off soon so will have to "wake up" shortly.

What theater will be featured with these Japanese troops? New Guinea?

I finally downloaded it and it took about 40 minutes. Opening a pdf should never take more than 20 seconds. Someone in IT needs to be fired.

According to Andy initially fall of Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore

The EA114 desert pair are a real stand-out for me and those Japanese troops look top notch too!{sm4}
