Have no idea what I will use two of the figures for as I really only wanted the Churchill figure in a dio featuring his visit to fighter command on a big day in the BOB. It will still alternatively be used as a Yalta set from time to time
Mitch

I thought I'd use this set as a center piece of a famous commanders and leaders display. Stood behind them I'm thinkng of putting, Monty,Slim, Alexander etc etc. It won't be a moment in history type shot but a bringing together of K&C's representations of these leaders. I also fin they don't fit into action dio's anyway, I mean you can't really have Eisenhower on Omaha with the GI's can you!

Mitch,
So much for the accuracy of polls. You do know you voted No in the poll ?

Brett...

as I explained to Terry when we were talking that was an error I just was not concentrating and put it in the wrong column. Look back to the thread when this all came out about detail. My comments were well expressed then and have not changed. I was and still am not bothered about the issues raised in the case of this set. but, as the RAF range expands this figure of churchill is one I will use as mentioned more for the RAF than as a stand alone for a Yalta conference.

Was only going on what was said in this thread. Cant hear you and Terry talking from way down here. Speak up !!{sm4}

1.) Good, bad or indifferent, this set will sell out. Maybe not in a year or two but it aint gonna be sitting around in 5-7 years time still out there at retail.

2.) Many of these comments regarding the "cigarette" sort of support why I mentioned it's a good idea that KC steer clear of rushing the Stuka into production. Im sure the folks at KC did their best at getting this as reasonably close as possible.

greetings to all. I am new here to the forum but enjoy king&country items very much.I like the stalin figure from this set.

Robert

I've got mixed feeling about it. I'm glad it was released as its an important part of history but I wish the sculpts were better for the price we pay. I'm on the fence, I'd say its on my buy list but waaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy down.

With reference to the Roosevelt cigarette I was looking at the Fileds of Battle newspaper seller in store yesterday and noticed that his tobacco is much thinner that Roosevelt's. Just an observation. In the 'flesh' the Yalta set looks really good. I'm glad I got it.

I hate to say this but I am upset the face sculpts were not even touched a bit. The cigarette in Roosevelt's hand is bigger then the cigar in Winston's. :(

What is your vote Yalta or Yucka..or I am getting one or I am not.

This is strictly a thread on the sculpts and paint not on the men themselves.

The cig is probable...a roll your own...any thickness you like.....looks like too-backie sticking out at the end....forgive the intrusion...I am trying to rack up points to make Lcpl...TomB

The cigarette really doesn't look that bad 'in the flesh'. Macro photography tends to make all our figures look a bit odd.

Good to hear ^&cool The Macro Look has certainly caused some issues on the forum in the past such as large hands etc and when the "suspect" figures are subsequently seen in the flesh you wonder what the "forum fuss" was all about.
