Lt. Thanks a lot for the pics. Nice to see the changes in the Z/2 (carrying ammo case). Some very nice sets, especially the Natal Mounted Police.

Nice paint job and convert Lt. The church is comming along slow but sure. I always seem to get carried away with large. I started painting the GI's, I did miss painting. I find it to be relaxing, as long as I don't think of how many, I will get them done. We will definately hook up, I have some pieces of foam for you. Keep the battle going, and protect Chard. Mike.

Enjoyed the show today and would have been nice if you had made it. It was nice spending the time with Tim. He ended up with a nice selection of goodies and I thought he looked fine in the photo.

Lt.

I've not posted a comment on this thread for a while, but I have been enjoying 'the ride'. Just out of curiosity (and to save me trying to count up every figure from every post!) what sort of number of figures have you used in creating this story? I can only guess at the amount of time you must have spent in the painting / converting of these guys.

Simon a total of 618 single figures have appeared in the photos posted...Joe

Gulp!
That's quite some collection. I really must devote some more time to painting up figures.
Thanks Lt.

Simon of the 618 figures appearing only 304 are painted of which 200 are Conte's Plastics 50 24th Foot & over 200 Zulu with another 200 plus in the pipe line. There's over a 100 metal painted figures consisting of both 24th Foot and Zulu. The remaining figures are Toy Soldiers from Trophy, FRONTLINE, Little Legion, Conte, ANI, Britains and KingKast....Joe

That is really quite the collection count. The dioramas are done excellent, the Lt. pays attention to detail. If and when I start posting, I hope I could do as fine a job. I don't know how he trained his mind to stick to the Zulu War. I know he has other figures of different eras, but to collect a vast # of the same era, is incredible. Thanks Joe for sharing them with us. Mike.
