Great photos , Lt
Wouldn't the NC have been fighting dismounted? As a matter of fact, with Durnford didn't they also volley fire after dismounting?;)
Glad to see you're having fun with 'em!

They had been by Aide de Camp and have remounted to leave the field and while doing so gave some assistance to members of the 24th while in route. Trumpeter C Scott is joined by another member of the Cabineers as they fight their way through the horde of Zulu Warriors. Awaiting for dismounted figures of the Carbineers in matte to become available.

Defending the Hospital

Corporal Schiess hurriedly leaves the Hospital to report “Zulus breaking in through the roof and rear of the building”

Looking forward Martyn as your defense of the Hospitall continues as Corporal Schiess warns them of the Zulus breaking through the roof of the Hospital. As the defenders continue to man the front wall Surgeon Reynolds at the South wall tends to one of it's defenders.

Lt. Gonville Bromhead quickly organises a platoon to give covering fire as the survivors are taken to comparative safety behind the biscuit box wall

Great shot PAPA ZULU....I think I have told you this before...I have always loved the way those mealie bags looked behind that wagon wheel...the way they have settled inside the spokes and are bulging out looks very real.

Michael Conte did a great job in providing the wagons in his Zulu War Playsets both of mine I painted. Martyn as nicely set up of Lieutenant Bromhead is commanding the a section of B Company behind the biscuit box wall the Natal Carbineers are fighting their way thru the Zulu warriors swamming the field of Isandlwana.

Lieutenant Bromhead’s platoon, with any survivors they could reach, has reached safety behind the biscuit box wall.

Unfortunately these chaps could not be saved.

Hi Michael

Glad you like the pictures, I've invested in a Panasonic G1K LUMIX camera, it produces pretty sharp pictures and is easy to use. The battery also seems to last for ever between charges.

Mike is so right about that...the best equipment in the world won't work in the hands of a fool.

Well...then I'll just say...you're no fool and your camera is helping to turn out some very nice shots...clear, vivid and very sharp...I hope you keep putting up the quality shots we have seen this last week.

ps...I'm thinking of a new camera...I just looked it up.
