Thanks, Michael....why yes it was Magic Water!

Along with an excellent choices of glossy figures from Trophy and Little Legion Michael which enchanced the telling of the event. Another very well done short story my Aide de Camp.

Both a Warrior of the Natal Native Contingent and a Swazi Warrior struggle to survive.

In March 1879, the 3rd battalion of the 60th King's Royal Rifle Corps arrives in Durban on the SS Spain. The build -up for the relief of Pearson's 1st Column at Eshowe has been urgent and on-going. Pearson and his 1200 men have only enough supplies for two more weeks. The 60th is seen on the streets of Durban double-timing to get up north to Fort Pearson to join General Lord Chelmsford for the rescue of the sieged Pearson.

Mike,

That is a great set up, I think the 60th had some of the best uniforms. They look great in your street of Durban diorama.

Another set of excellent pictures Mike. Funny enough I received a few marching figures from the Trophy Egypt and The Sudan range yesterday, more later;)

Cheers

Martyn:)

Nicely done again my Aide de Camp featuring both LL 60th and Trophy's supporters and a nice way to kick off my morning.

Thanks Men of Harlech!
The 60th Rifles are from my small collection of Hiriart. I also have the 24th, the 91st and the the 60th charging at port arms sets. As for Brian's question about when he can acquire ADC status.... I'm of the persuasion that he held that position when he started posting his figures...We're all here together, or we will most assuredly play separately!
Mike
Martyn-Can't wait!

Mike,
Thanks...I'm going to experiment with lighting , focus and some other things to bring out the Hobby Bunker street facade that I painted:eek: I want to be able to use it for other ideas. One of the problems is the shade from the overhanging gables on the stores...
We'll see.

My Aide De Camp as a General Officer yourself I'm sure your in need of and Aide De Camp and Brian would make an excellent choice. In the mean time turning back in time to the Mission Station as Acting Assistant Commissary Jame Langley Dalton pause to load his Martini-Henry as he leaves the Storehouse to join the defenders manning the barricades

This member of the Natal Native Contingent expression speaks for itself as he looks on as the Zulu Impi's approach the camp site.
