I find it kind of funny and sad but……

I was born in the USA. By heritage I am half German.

Since I was a kid my family has openly celebrated many Germanic holidays.

I have continued that routine as an adult sharing my plans to celebrate these holidays with friends, neighbors etc.

In all that time no one has ever told me to go back to Germany if those holidays are that important to me.

I think other posts have said it more eloquently but it is context. I think Gary was referring to the press and context used in the story. I took it as wtf does a Mexican holiday have to do with an illegal alien committing a crime and being shot by police. Ie nothing. I have no problem with holidays anyone celebrates, they may just not be national U.S.A. holidays and that is ok other than the ones that preach death to the USA as part of their holiday or death to Israel. I don’t tolerate that nor should anyone in my opinion.

Turning on NFL Red Zone today and getting a message from Comcast that it is now available only through a subscription. Maybe I was always paying for it is some way but it was on last week. Meanwhile my bill never goes down.
