Things that annoy me (2 Viewers)

I wonder what was said...we will probably never know...I thought Staley was gonna give Geno a beat down...
That would have been great. He was acting like a real alphahotel. Everything he complained about was untrue. He cried about one of his players getting their jersey ripped when she was clearly not fouled and tore her own jersey. He was totally unhinged. I guess when you go 38-0 and get your butt kicked, it is a new experience.

The UConn women's coach appeared totally unhinged last night. He was a true bad sport about that lose. They got their butts kicked by a better team.
That was a classless, embarrassing performance by him last night, stormed off the court like a two year old, piss poor sportsmanship on display right there.

well...it could of been handled better...now he's a national story...and his reputation is slightly tarnished forever...

Do not know anything about this, but our Rugby Coach at school always used to say,

"You can judge a type of person someone is by judging them in 2 situations, how they behave when they lose and how they behave when they win".

More so how they behave when they lose.

Mike,
For what it's worth, I got this text from a friend of mine, make of it what you will...................still doesn't excuse him storming off the court after the loss and not shaking hands.........sucks for UConn that the perfect season went down the crapper, but still.........

"George,
I finally learned what set Geno off last night. I’m at the women’s basketball association convention here in Phoenix. One coach (who I won’t name) who has been to the final four told me that in big nationally televised events like this they, for TV purposes, introduce the coaches and they meet at half court to shake hands. This is NOT the same thing as the pregame handshake that we all saw happen. This is a separate moment. This coach told me this (paraphrase):

“I was watching that moment and Geno went out for the handshake but Dawn didn’t go out. She stayed in her huddle with her staff and Geno waited for a long time for her and she never showed. Jamelle Elliot, one of Geno’s assistants, came out to get him and he was clearly a little flustered.”

This coach thought that Dawn was trying to “one up” him before the game psychologically.

If so, it worked. So good on her. But that’s what Geno was pissed about. And Dawn knows exactly why he’s upset about it and frankly, it was her plan to set him off like that.

That’s what this coach, who knows them both and who has been there, said.

She said it happened to her once and she was pissed about it too.

But even so, Geno handled it poorly, specifically in his halftime interview, where he made some unhinged comments and the way he acted after the game to say the least."

I bring this up just to clear the air on what, specifically, Geno was talking about.

She must’ve really got in his head… sounds like some devious psychological plan… but if that’s true… sounds like it worked… they got blown out… maybe something in the news in a day or two… I’m sure he’ll come out and issue a public apology… maybe he’ll mention that

Here is his canned apology, just click on it to read it...................funny how he neglects to mention the coach specifically in his apology.

Agree with all said, he looks like an idiot. Bad move. That said, very sorry the Lady Longhorns didn't get a chance to beat her again. Unfortunately, I think they overlooked a good UCLA team and blew it. That said, I am all in on UCLA but probably will not happen. I just can't stand her at South Carolina. She is a very good/great coach, I just think she is a not so nice human being based on all of her past outburst and controversies. Can't argue with winning, but I can argue with class.

I'm glad no one claimed his conduct was the product of racism. Sometimes being a classless idiot is just that and nothing more. He got his butt kicked.

Reaves is now out for the rest of the season. Turn out the lights, the party is over.
Ooooooh man...more bad news...

OKC didn't just kick their rear ends...they did some long lasting damage...

when the Lakers see them coming down the sidewalk...
they are gonna walk across the street to avoid them...
