Beating the Lakers.

It never, as in ever, gets old.

Last night the Celtics instead of raining 3's down, took it to the hoop countless times, the Lakers have exactly zero interior defense.

LeBron left the game last night with a strained groin; must have done it when he drew that foul on Tatum were there was minimal at best contact and he whipped his head back like someone from the nosebleed section shot him.

The soccer antics by NBA players is beyond pathetic.

If you assume chalk in the western conference, the Lakers will get Denver with no HCA, if they win, Oklahoma City again with no HCA.

Considering Luka and Lebron looked like two broken down war horses when that game was over with back and groin issues, I can't see them surviving the west.

If they do, the Laker ballwashing will be epic.

If LeBron strained his groin with that flop, that would be the funniest thing ever........................he's out 1/2 weeks now.

No problem, Luka can carry them while he's out; he's carrying around 20 pounds of blubber, so what's a few more to lug around.
Expectations must be really low in Beantown if a regular season win at home is cause for that much excitement. The Lakers rolled Boston by 20+ in LA. So they are 1-1. Boston is shooting more threes than any team in NBA history. Not a recipe for success in the playoffs. The East has only one other playoff caliber team in the Cavs and the NBA refs are not likely to let them go to the finals. That means the Celts have some chance but not much. You think it is "funny" that a player was injured? Very classy stuff. When the Celts get rolled out of the playoffs, I'm sure it will be because of the refs.

No one in Boston has or ever will call our city "Beantown", that some half assed term that was created by someone not from the city.

Not sure what "excitement" that win created, I was just happy they won as the talking heads are the ones who are already crowning the Lakers champs after that Brinks job of a heist they pulled off, just like the Jabbar trade several decades ago, funny how those trades always work out for the Lakers; they changed their approach to the Lakers last night, went to the basket time and time again as the Lakers have exactly zero interior defense now that Davis is gone vs raining three's all night, the Lakers hunted Horford all night for defensive purposes and it did not work, your coach said as much.

The entire league is 3 point happy, the game is a far cry from what it used to be when scoring was key in the paint and centers were the most important position in the game.

If the injury occurred as a result of a flop, I call that ironic, what would you call it, a shame?

I give the Celtics a 50/50 chance at best to even get to the finals "if" they advance to the ECF and face Cleveland, they are a young team that's very talented, the refs will not "let" the Celtics get to the finals, that's not the way the league works.

It's not rigged like the NFL is.

Things I really like - attending in person toy soldier shows with friends. I still find them to be exciting, large or small, it is always a wonder at the different items you see for sale. I appreciate a lot of different things, even if I don't collect it all. It is always a neat feeling to see something live in person. Talking and interacting with other collectors is always fun too. The time moves fast and swift. I had an ultimate collector tell me "I don't have time for the internet or a cell phone, I am too busy adding to my collection weekly and enjoying it daily". Kind of resonates, he has one of the largest collections in the world and he thoroughly enjoys it. Kind of hit home for me in that "not everything is available at Amazon".

Local news story description of this event including apparent surprise that they could not identify the person or understand what they "represent":

"A Ring camera captured the eerie scene on East 10th Avenue in North York Borough on Tuesday.

The person leans into the camera, tilts their head and says, "I am the Box Demon. I am the Box Demon ... This box is a gift for you."

"The person, wearing a mask, brought an empty box to the homeowner’s front door. The unknown person rings the doorbell and identifies themselves as the 'Box Demon.' The homeowner does not recognize the person. The homeowner does not (know) what the mask or the term “Box Demon” was to represent. The suspicious person left the empty box on the front porch and walked away from the home," a statement from Northern York County Regional Police said."

Tom:

Great post and thanks for the reminder that new items are great but our past purchases should still be enjoyed to an equal, if not greater level.

That is really messed up and is fitting for some type of a horror movie. Good thing the “Homeowner Demon” was not home!

I can tell you that me Homeowner Demon would have been in fear for my life and forgotten to ask questions first..................................to stay within the justifiable parameters of the law and statutes.
