Don't trust those stats they put out. I know of different scenerios where 25 cars are broken into but it's only recorded as 1 crime because it all happened at the same time and location. Same with shooting 3 people shot at one location and time reported 1 shooting not 3. I'm not saying this happens all the time but the books can be cooked. Don't know if you all here this in your area but say there are a few crimes committed in a certain area and the reporter reports that police "are beefing up their patrols" I have been to thousands of roll calls and never once heard the phrase we are going to beef up patrols. Now they do inform us of crimes that occurred etc but the term "beefing up" never heard it. I remember on a few occasions where the supervisor might HINT that you write the report in a little different way so example it is a burglary, part 1 crime, but word it so it is a larceny, not a part 1 crime. Just for the reason to lesson the crime stats. The one thing that always got to me, now this only applied to the city of St louis. You make an arrest then you must go to the prosecuting attorneys office where you would present your case. More often than not the attorney would look for reasons not to issue warrants than look for reasons to issue a warrant. No warrant issued the person is released. I know the back log of cases was the main reason but that should not be.

Sadly as an ex-cop he speaks from experience, stats are just that, ripe for manipulation and interpretation, I concur, seen it done many times to suite a certain narrative. The public get played something terrible.....

Just like being the myth we are told that the aging population and health care drives immigration and so as an example,
A nurse comes from Africa who pays her taxes, she brings with her, her two school age children, so the taxes she pays is eaten up and more in education, perhaps she needs treatment for sickle cell anemia or dome such, so now she becomes a drain on the country. I could go on, but mass immigration isn't the answer.
But greed of some and white saviour syndrome or false guilt, now fed to children, convincing that they bear a burden of guilt of others, whilst ignoring
that, that and worst was done by their own countrymen and by other invading cultures and its exploitation by those who's basic dishonesty, perhaps because the differences in cultures and their own goals.
