Why do the Brits love the Bolton Paul Defiant so much  It was never a major frontline fighter or even a successful one in the short term once the Me109 pilots realized it had a rear firing MG. I am truly mystified :)

Just because its different Terry. We all love the Spitfire and Hurricane, but flawed as it was the Defiant played its part at the start of the Battle, and it was a fatal error to mistake this from behind for a Hurricane,as many 109/110 Pilots found to their cost.

I think I talked to Andy about this once but I think he had no interest in making it, at least in the Conn line. At any rate, he does change his mind so who knows? I would think this a more likely candidate for the Conn line.

Then i think its only fair i get another choice!;)

RAF firetruck,

Most of my suggestions are in the how to do it range. I would like to see these with at least retractable gear and working props. Removable covers for engines and guns and movable control surfaces would also be nice.
For aircraft, what else but a Mk IX or VIII (Italy).

1 each of these bombing a RAF airfield Rob............

Always a good reminder that the Germans could build some absolutley pig ugly planes when they put their minds to it.

And they'd probably miss the airfield and vapourise some poor unsuspecting cow in a field somewhere.

Fire crew in fire proof suites waiting for the return of a damaged bomber.

Has anyone seen the great colour photographs of Robert Capa (more famous for his black & white work) that were lost in the archives at Magnum for 60yrs. He took some great shots of RAF ground crews .

Simon,

The Stuka and the Dornier might be characterized as "pig ugly", but the Heinkel HE111 was a graceful and beautiful design.

Oh, and by the way, I have a K&C Heinkel (1 of 2) made and a K&C Stuka, but I would never display them bombing an RAF airfield - more likely getting shot to bits by Spits and Hurries . . . ;)

All in the eye of the beholder I guess. I never liked the look of the HE111, yet one of the most imposing designs ever, for me, is the Me262. Gracefully brutal.
