Tiger I late version (4 Viewers)

Yes, Nasir, we will be re-sculpting the Panther and the Sherman to be released with the new detailed standards and customization in the future. I can't tell you exactly when, but we will re-launch them in the near future.

Hello Ana.

I want to applaud you and "the boys" for these absolutely stunning versions of the Tiger I. You have really done your research well, down to the finest detail.

Please don't be discouraged by the naysayers here as the old saying goes "you can't please everyone." There are many companies that put out 1:30 and 1:32 scale AFV's at various levels of quality and pricing so they should be able to find something that will make them happy.

In my opinion, a "Saint Petersburg" quality AFV was needed in this market and you are now taking your place at the top of the quality spectrum with these customized versions. Another old saying goes, "You get what you pay for." I believe that the level of precision detail and quality of these Tigers are well worth the price for someone who is looking for a museum quality AFV.

I'm looking forward to all your future products.

I will email you for instructions on how I can place my order.

Rick,
It is good to hear from you. I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and no casualties among the Marines who are deployed. Please keep your head down and stay safe. I know you will take care of the leathernecks in your care. We owe you folks big time.

Well why dont you buy all the naysayers a Tiger then :p, this is a wonderful hobby but it is a hobby nonetheless. Not everyone has the funds to just spend on this and other fun ventures. I am sure many mortage companies and landlords would clearly understand that we all decided to indulge in our passions other than meet our mandatory financial obligations. Folks like myself are not downing the products HB has produced or is producing now, its just that there are some items you have to pass on and unfortunately this tank will be one of those items. I applaud the entire HB crew too, this is an amazing tank, BUT I will pass on it.

Thank you, Rick. We fully appreciate your comments. Thanks.

Guys: I'll have some colour scheme samples posted later today, so you can see the different options :)

I'll be back soon,

Ana

Fine Job Honour Bound! Those are some remarkable military miniatures you created. The detailing is superb and well worth the price you're asking. I also like the scenic base options. I for one will need a little more help when it comes to ordering one, and will wait for some actual option pictures to post on Treefrog.

These new Tigers are going to be the highlight of many collections around the world.

As everyone knows - I am a very big King and Country Collector.

But, this Tiger I is OUTSTANDING - Wow !

That Winter Tiger is calling my name big time and the work you all are doing is simply great. :D

I hope your business plan works and you have much success. This new approach on the "custom model" will be interesting to see play out. Its very interesting to see new business deveolpments in our hobby.

With Warbirds going for $800 - $1,000 - I dont think this is $350-$400 Tank is a K&C Warbird - IMHO.

I agree this is a pricey item - but if you can custom design a tank.... well maybe this has a place in some collections.

Anyway - Congrats Ana !! Job well done and I wish you much success.

Merry Christmas,

Ron

Bravo Panzer (Rick):

Welcome back and Happy New Year

Carlos, Michael,
Always great to hear from my old friends! Thanks for the words. I always try to check the forum when I get a chance to see what I'm missing.

We're doing great things over here. 6 more months left on this tour.

Gustav,
I'm a career Marine on a salary so I'm afraid I can't afford to buy you a Hounor Bound Tiger. Althoug I'm currently receiving combat pay, I just don't have enough extra cash to help you out right now. If I was a lawyer, maybe I could. (Just kidding Brad and Louis).

You shouldn't knock a Rolls Royce just you can't afford to buy one! Hounor Bound's strategy is not to sell to the masses. There are plenty of companys out there who sell in volume and do it well. Hounour Bound has taken a courageous step in putting out the most detailed and realistic AFV on the market and I hope they succeed because I want more of their quality AFVs.

Ana,

Just can't decide, Wifey has let me choose a figure of choice so I've gone for a HB Tiger - First thoughts were a Winter Tiger but now I'm thinking of a Tiger to go along with my K&C Arnhem figures. Decisions hey.....

Hi Rick

If I really wanted one I could buy one. I am just wanting to get more bang for my buck. There are just so many nice pieces out there and sometimes you have to decide which ones to invest in first. K&C stuff as we all know usually goes pretty quickly so that is why I focus there, that is my strategy. I am a German AFV nut!! I love their armor and the late Tiger is one of my favs. I hope Andy brings out another late version Tiger and I will have one then in my collection. HB's strategy is not to sell to the masses, well good luck to them, be exclusive and cater to the collectors who want that quality, as for me I will stick to my strategy as well, to each is their own, right!!:D:D

EXACTLY!!! For $199.00 you can purchase a strictly limited K&C Tiger which people are already raving about its beauty and detail. Since every Tiger by K&C has appreciated in value, this Tiger will be no different, I dont have a Tiger in my collection as of yet and I want my first one to be special. I rather invest most of my toy soldier funds in K&C, I do sprinkle my collection with other manufacturers but spending a big lump of cash for one tank, no can do, I would first go after one of Conte's playsets like the Church set or something like that. You can also buy a retired K&C Tiger at a better price.

Gust-
You could also buy 10 FOV tanks or 100 plastic tanks for $199. Some collectors like those. When I see phrases like "invest" and "appreciated in value" in these kinds of posts it leads me to wonder if the opinions are formed with an intent to sell KC products on the secondary market. Frankly, I haven't seen anyone raving about the "beauty" of the KC Tiger. How do you form a conclusion that the HB Tiger will be "no different"? Particularly when it is not yet available. Anyone who has collected HB products knows that they are different and the upgrade with this Tiger makes it appear as though it could be the single best tank produced. Let's wait and see and let every collector decide for themselves if the extra cost is justified.

I do not see how it makes sense to market basic tanks at $350.00, that does not include add-ons. As nice as HB tanks are, I can't spend almost $500.00 for a tank. I believe at those prices, you will be eliminating the majority of perspective buyers. I'm glad that I have an HB Sherman, I really treasure it, but I want a Tiger, so it looks like the K&C Tunisia at 195.00 is going to be my choice.

Sometimes you just want a good Fillet even though at the same price you could get a lot more hamburger. ;)

Well said Dragoon! My K&C Normandy panther which is a pretty darn good looking tank complete with battle damage and dirt/mud, along with 4 outstanding figures, is a fantastic entree at $109.00. But oh yes, that Winter HB tiger is appetizing to say the least, but as they say, one can't have everything in life.

Look, I aint about to shell out no 500 bucks for a single piece at this time. Reread some of my posts, I have said this tank is a beauty, it is and quite frankly it may be the best Tiger for years to come. I am not denying that. I rather spend the same amount of cash on the new K&C sets that are out and due out in the near future. That is what works for me, what works for others is a different story, all collectors are different.
