time on my hands at last (1 Viewer)

The heady days of 1938 at the Berghof, the vacation residence and headquarters for 10 years, located near Berchtesgaden, Bavarian Alps, Germany. Robin.

This is 'so' well done !

So many things going on...the automobile is a very nice touch.

Really like the film crew idea.

Thank you.

Impressive landing craft and superb setting you've created Robin. Good to see the croc again as well. Regards Greg.

Excellent.

The detail on your boat is amazing !
The dials on the boiler are fantastic.

Background works good with fallen logs.

Thank you.

Robin...

that is a very nice boat...did your guy make it?

if so...he is very talented...

is it finished or do you plan to have him weather it?

either way...it looks great...

Thanks Guys. Yes this boat was made by my local model maker, he worked on it on and off over a year, while completing other projects for me. When he finished it, he was so happy with how it turned out, he almost did not want to sell it to me. I have used it with my Light Horse series and a couple of other scenes as it spans a few hundred year time period. The boiler he has used came from a steam train. He also made the terrain jungle/river which I have featured in other of scenes. This latest scene is a forerunner to the Marine series Andy is doing. Robin.

I saw the boat first hand during my visit to Robin recently and it does look good.

Robin as the others are saying, that's a great looking boat and I love the way you are having the Japs disembark. One thing though, it looks to me that the Croc has lost it's head ! Some trophy hunter had it !?^&grin

Another great diorama !

Really like the figures coming through the doorway on the left...adds some 'motion' to the scene.

Thank you.

Robin...
this is so novel...
the chains...
the metal scaffolds...
the whole factory theme...
great new idea and always done with your meticulous outstanding execution...
your "one off" dioramas are inspiring...

Michael, I may be mistaken but I think the scaffold and chain is a Figarti piece, but Robin has put it to different use.
