time on my hands at last (1 Viewer)

But in the meantime, here is a teaser. My Egyptian Galley made by my local model man. Robin.

Excellent piece !

Really like the 'planking' detail on the lower deck.

Congratulations on this acquisition.

Thank you for posting.

Robin...

your Bastogne pictures are awesome...
the snow and dirt streets looks really realistic...

you should give your model guy a nice Christmas present...

that's a very nice job on the barge...

the elephants...
I would have guessed the barge...

Life on board the Galley. Robin.

Hi Robin.

It sure looks the business. :salute:: Have you got a miniature Charlton Heston chained to one of the oars below decks !{sm4}

Sure looks like discipline is tough aboard, having to climb rigging in full armour and with shield, not to mention standing holding a catapult shot !

You run a hard Galley Robin !{sm4}

Your spectacular Roman galley would be the centre piece of most forum collections. You are very fortunate indeed with your background painter and model builder connections but it's well deserved with your valuable contributions to our hobby. Thankyou and have a merry Christmas. Regards Greg.

Great idea using the elephants Robin :salute::

All the best

Martyn:)

Wow that's spectacular. Fantastic ship Robin. Love the Conte Roman galley too. I at least have this one. Loving Christmas in the UK but missing the warmth of New Zealand. At least I have a few new figures from UK manufacturers to drive away the winter chill. Gary
