Robin,

this looks like a Hollywood Epic as it evolves …. all we need is a chariot race ???

Well Done,

John

Spectacular production rivalling your other large dioramas. Once again the buildings set the scene for the parade of figures, enhanced by the elephants and Caesar's arrival. Well done. Regards Greg.

From those impressive arches, to the of elephants, an impressive presentation. Chris

EPIC mate I went to early with my earlier comment, must of been fun setting up etc well done and thanks for the effort to share.

Just like you see in the films Robin. Amazing :salute:::salute:::salute::

You really do have everything :salute::

Steve

Robin,
The dark grey side Colums look like some fish tank supplies I have been looking at cut in half ?
The center one is another lever thou, is that something you had made?
Chuck

He really does doesn’t he, it never stops amazing me and has to be stunning in person.

Correct all 3 columns are from an aquarium shop, one is smaller. I have no talent in the building aspect, just throw money at it, seems to work for me. Perhaps mix and matching is about the best I can offer on my displays. The archway is very heavy and came from Crown Miniatures thanks to the owner Nick. So much choice with Romans, being JJD, K&C, Conte, TG and FL, one can afford to be fussy. Robin.

Robin...
I must have missed this one...
I just stumbled on it today...
wow...
your Rome display is epic!
such a variety of figures and scenics...
it reminds me of the scene in Gladiators when Commodus returns home after murdering Marcus Aurelius...
beautiful...
are all 3 elephants TG?

Thanks Mike good to hear from you. 3 TG & 3 TCS Elephants. Like you have a thing for Egyptian chariots, I have one for Elephants ^&grin. As you can see I also like the more static poses of figures, although I do have some fighting Romans, my preference as with most of my series is what I call 'at rest' style, easier to think of a display to use them. I had to raid my 3 permanent Roman scenes to create this story and for awhile there my man-cave was a mess. Unlike the bad old days when I had to have the house tidy before my wife came home from school, the cave is the best.^&grin, Robin.

Robin....

oooooh...I see now...
didn't look close enough of the pics of all 6 at once...

yes...you like elephants...^&grin
nothing wrong with that...

also like you...
I like the "campfire" figures...
they are so versatile...
they are the type of figures you don't usually buy multiples...
unless it's a marching column...
or a formation...

you have a sweet Rome series collection!

Words like ''spectacular'' and ''magnificent'' do not do justice to this display. You certainly have an impressive collection of Romans.Well done that man.

1798 Napoleon explores Egypt. Robin.
( this is a permanent shelf display)
