Traditional Gloss Artillery Sets (1 Viewer)

If I could paint like you, I would never had bought any finished gloss set..So often, I buy one and end up repainting the details to make them more pleasing...Would you ever think about taking on commissions? Michael

Hi Jeff,

Oh well thats the story of my life a day late and a dollar short! Still thanks for sharing you work and the really fine work your wife did on the Tiger Hunt set! Those are so fun to see.

All the best

Dave

These are a favorite of mine, Tradition castings of the Royal Artillery in the Sudan with screw gun.

Hi Jeff

I think this is also my favourite by a nose over the Boer war set ,
Great job on all of them , any thoughts on funding the matt collection
with the odd set or 2 :)

cheers Rob

Michael,

All the sets shown I selected to paint and sold them through a friends shop or advertised in magazines. My wife and I used to do outwork painting for Sarum Soldiers as well some years ago.

But I have done commission work in the past and to be honest it's not something that I have given a lot of thought to recently, but that’s not to say I wouldn't be interested. :)

Rob,

I used to do this quite a bit in the past and funny enough have a look at my reply to Michael above regarding my thoughts :)

Thanks.

Jeff

Thanks for posting the photos -- you do excellent work. I especially admire the RHA sets.

Hi Jeff

If you can be bothered i,d be more than happy to pay for your
expertise for a set of traditions jacobite figures , I was looking
for a set of RHA mountain battery on thier site but couldnt see one,
so the jacobites caught my eye. If not no worries .

cheers Rob

I can tell you that as the lucky recipient of the RHA set, Jeff's painting is outstanding and even though most of my collection is K &C WW II, I really love this piece. If Jeff does commission work, sign me up! I'd love to get something that complements the RHA.

Oh no! what have I started :D:cool:.............yes alright then, but a few at the time to begin with.

Rob, a set of Traditions Jacobite figures.

Brad, something that complements the RHA.

Help!

Jeff,
that is a very nice set and it would be a pleasure to add that to my 18th century collection.

Hi All,

Just joined the group and would like to mention that I also enjoy very much artillery sets. I mainly focus on artillery from 1800s to 1918s, although some Napoleonic and British/American Civil war sets are around.
Feel free to contact me if you would like to exchange ideas, check historical info and trade.
Regards,
Artillery_crazy
