Close enough to be a wonderful match and an excellent paint job by Jeff..........Britains,,are you watching. We need another arty set with different posed gun crew...Michael

I agree, very good match and they do look good as one grouping.

Today I checked how the Tradition FIW British Artillery Set, painted by Jeff, and the FIW Artillery Set made by Britains would fit together and am very pleased with the result. A few pictures are attached to show them together.
Like in real life, some guys are a bit heavier than others, but I think they fit great.
Konrad

Konrad,

The two sets go well together and size wise there isn't much between them. They make a nice little scene :)

Jeff

Jeffs' are the ones on the right. Yellow is brighter. Nicer work really. Sorry the pictures are mixed up. Jeffs' are the ones with the lighter green bases! Wunderbar! Nooooo... wait a sec...... ok yeah I am sure.... I think.........Blimey nicely done mate!

On reflection, one thing strikes me (apart from the wife!) when seeing these two sets together......and that is the amount of detail that is designed into the figures of today and having plenty of detail helps in the painting process. These could be painted in a matt style and wouldn't look out of place along side K&C type figures (apart from the size difference).

Jeff

Jeff, anytime you want to come over for an espresso! And you are right about the castings. Except for the size.

The two sets go together very well. I know how much the Britains set goes for (both the suggested retail price as well as what it sells for EBay), but how much is the tradition set going for?

Thanks.
Dick

Tradition lists the British artillery as ₤85 for the painted set, and as castings, in two kits, at ₤5.25 for Kit 1 and ₤15.50 for Kit 2. Not sure if kit 1 is the gun and kit 2 is the crew, or some other combination of figures. But that works out roughly to around $53 for the unpainted figures, doesn't it? I'm estimating the exchange rate at around $2.50 to the pound.

Prost!
Brad
