Trophy - Anglo Boer War sets (2 Viewers)

Tommy, I was told there was a lot of Zulu and Boxer. If you look for Hawkeye's post, he has more detail.

Very nice Martyn. I spoke with Pat Wade and he said there was a lot of Trophy at Chicago but had no particulars. Did you receive any info? Tommy

Hi Tommy, haven't heard anything apart from the posts on the Forum. Expecting a sitrep from Sam :salute::

Unless dealers were holding back stock for the show on Sunday there was maybe a fair amount of Trophy stuff in the room trading zone. One dealer had a nice selection but it was mostly ones and twos in the other rooms

Good selections of ACW and Napoleonics, some Sudan & Egypt. Didn't see much Zulu. Obviously I missed the big box set but I would have passed on it anyway as I'd hit my spending limit

Sam didn't make it. He developed an illness and had to turn back.

Tommy there was a smattering of trophy sets in a few rooms. I missed the first room thursday morning because i was in tedtoys room buying little legion sets. What i saw in others were zulu sets in fine shape, napoleonic sets, civil war sets, some dervish sets,a couple ww i sets, some clean crimean sets. I didn't see boer war, alamo, american revolution or boxer sets. I thought i saw one nw frontier set if that helps. Everything was mostly zulu and napoleonic. The year before it was mostly sudan andindian sets.

June 1900 - A supply column on the march

Soldiers from the Black Watch escort a supply column. The Indian mule handlers and wagon driver are from the Indian Army but were not allowed to bear arms, due to a tacit agreement between the British and Boers only white troops should take part in military operations.
