Very nice Lawrence. Do you have the set with the ammo cassion or the six horse team? I have a 12 horse gun team-Neuchatel.

WA 47A Prussian Line Infantry with WA72S Standard Bearer of the Prussian Jaegers Battalion with flag dated 1808. Prussia lost over 340 flags in the campaign of 1806. Flag measured 6ft by 6ft on a 9ft pole.

Tommy,
Sadly, don't have the Napoleonic six horse team. Mine is the four horse team pulling the cannon. Like Martyn, I am looking forward to seeing your 12 horse team {eek3}:smile2:

Hi Tommy

Can I ask, was this in the catalogue or a "special order" similar to the 16 Oxen drawn Naval gun.

Cheers

Martyn:)
Neuchatel 12 horse Artillery Train-8lb gun. This set was a special commission originally and then Len sent Mike Laeding two or three sets where I bought mine. I don't think it has a set number on the box.

Excellent Tommy{bravo}}, sounds a bit like my 8 Oxen supply wagon for the AZW

Cheers

Martyn:)

Incredible set Tommy! I bet that gun could really move with all that horse power! Thank for the photos. I do not yet have a Napoleonic artillery set {sm2}

Never read about a "12 horse drawn team" for French Napoleonic artillery.
Certainly wouldn't be practical especially over rough terrain.
Is there any historical evidence or was this set just for a novelty??

There's evidence of large teams for siege guns but I don't think for field pieces.

Martin

Boy tommy, seeing that set gives me a feeling of regret that i didn't take mike's off up and buy one when he had just the last one left. But one does have budget constraints. Great to see this a picture of this set though. I was thinking they might have had yellow uniforms like the grenidier set. Set looks gorgeous, thanks for the pics

Mike Laeding and I just talked about the 12 horse team. Our recollection is that Len had some historical basis for this or else he would not have produced more sets other than the first comissioned set. The next time I talk to Len, I will ask him and post his answer. John and Hawkeye thanks.

Tommy's at it again Martyn an boy am I glad and once again Tommy got to thank you for sharing your sets an playtime with us.%^V%^V%^V:salute:::salute:::salute::
