Trophy WW1 (1 Viewer)

Missed out on a duplicate set of the British Lorry with the artillerymen (8-Mile Snipers) but managed to get a duplicate WWI British Wagon (EQ62) and a Boer War Road Transport Steam Tractor Set (EQ45) from the same seller, all for substantially less than original retail:

Nice!

Bosun AL

Thanks Al!

A second supply wagon to go with my two cook carts and my field kitchen will make for a nice collumn on my Trophy WWI diorama. Additionally, I now have the steam tractor pulling the canon and the transport steam tractor. I know of at least one other Trophy Steam Tractor, pulling a wood cutting machine. I bet our good friend Martyn could tell us of others!:salute::

Louis...
that's a cool little tractor and cart...
nice pick up!

Mike: Agreed. Also, sorry your WC Fields post was deleted - it was a favorite joke of Grandpa's!

Louis: You are the WW1 guy! The cart is the great addition. I like the tractor even more - a true Trophy masterpiece!

Best Wishes
Paddy

Hi,
I do agree with Paddy. I am not a Trophy expert but from all I have seen so far the locomobile remains my favourite vehicle produced by Trophy.

Hi Louis

I haven't tracked down any info regarding "official" Trophy Steam Tractor engines variants but here is a picture of mine pulling a 4.7 Royal Navy gun

All the best

Thanks Martyn! I have the same Steam Tractor pulling a 4.7 Naval Gun as well, and I have seen a third variant pulling a portable wood cutting machine in an auction some years back. Our good friend Tom (TDubel) told me Len sold the Tractor a number of different ways, pretty much whatever the customer requested. I wonder if Jim Hillestad has any literature on the steam tractors . . .

Here are some photos of my two Trophy Steam Tractor sets on my Relief of Chitral diorama (before anyone asks, the three Steam Tractors on the far side of the diorama are Heco Tinplate Models (2) and Metalshed (the one with the crane carrying the log):

Great figure Louis :salute:: I have been lucky to find a couple of Bengal Lancers from the "Egyptian War / Tel- eL Kebir" series, they are two of my favourite sets.

All the best

Martyn:)
