Trophy - zulu war sets (2 Viewers)

Oooooh Martyn,

Those Lancers!

Very cool photos.

That is a vengeful slaughter.

Sweet stuff,

Michael

Hand to hand sets that Trophy never made but would have been winners if Len had sculpting the 24th figures as posed:rolleyes::rolleyes:....The Lt.

"Front Rank Reload!"
Lt. Younghusband and members of his company of 1/24th are backed up to the nek of Isandlwana and will soon run out of ammunition, to rush back down the hill with bayonets and swords in a gallant, futile attempt to "Die like British soldiers".
Set#BBZ1

Nice Mike;)

Could you tell me where the reference BBZ1 comes from?

Cheers

Martyn:)

I picked out three figures I've not seen before. would you mind my Aide De Camp of taking close ups of the figures you've got post and the sets they come from when you can find the time to do so. Once again another nice story line to go along with the photos.....The Lt.

Martyn & Lt.
I will certainly take some close-ups of these guys and the big box they came in. The set # is BBZ1G or BBZ16, can't read it clearly, and also has a black glossy sticker (the one on the bottom of the pontoons and mealie walls) that says "front rank reload". Maybe you can clarify more of the history/pedigree behind the set, after I post the close-ups, Martyn. And more to come My Lord General!

Thanks Mike, very nice;)

Looks like a limited addition set similar to "Doctoring for War", did it have a number certificate with it?

Cheers

Thanks for posting the pictures of the figures Mike.
This has started me thinking which other sets the 2 figures I have shown where featured in.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Nice additions to your land of the Zulus 1879 seems like your on a roll of adding to your Trophy collection which I'm sure has made you one happy camper.......The Lt.

Thank you Michael, the Trophy 17th Lancers are great figures

Cheers

Martyn:)

Somehow I missed the Lancers photos first time round. I have been sick the last coupleof weeks so that could be why.

Stunning Martyn and as you know probably my all time favourite AZW figures. :D

Martyn,
That's them in the set I have too, but I'll be hard pressed to figure out the Set # BBZ1Y:confused:
Mike

Hi Mike

The guy crawling is a bit of a unique figure, like the ones in the "Abandon the Hospital" set. You've got me wondering if I bought set BBZ1Y years ago and lost the box :eek:

Very nice set;)

Cheers

Martyn,
The guys kneeling and standing in the set I have are loading their MH's. Yours are firing. Maybe yours is "Front Rank Fire" to my "Front Rank Reload"?
Regardless, you are indeed correct about the crawling 24th...He is the spitting image of the ladder-climber in the Hospital set, save for the right hand curled around the ladder vs. flat on the ground.
I love this stuff!
