Well I'm obviously swimming against the tide here, but I am most certainly in. Yes its a lot of money, but here's how I go about it. The Typhoon is something I've wanted since the Poly's were launched, as an adult I know I cannot afford everything as funds are limited, so I shall get the Typhoon, Bowsers, support staff etc and put off other purchases for a while. With the wealth of choice we have these days I find I have to often make these decisions anyway, the RAF range has in a matter of a year or two gone on to become one of K&C's best and one of my personal faves and I now have almost every figure/set, so this is also natural progression for me. I may not buy much else between all these releases and the end of the year, but I sure look forward to seeing these on a dio base in my office.
I think as soon as you figure that you cannot collect everything and go with what you like instead of trying to be a completist , things become much easier. It took me a few years to accept it , but now it gets easier and easier and I get great enjoyment from the items I do buy. Just my view and way of going about it you understand:smile2:

Good post mate :wink2:
I don't think I have much of a choice mate with my partner of work looking after the baby & me getting a £9000 pay cut next month don't think it would be fair to be spending lot of money on this hobby but I'm happy with what I've got :smile2:Thanks Neil, did I read you are leaving the hobby?

Neil, hope things turn out ok for you. That is a heck of a pay cut to absorb. Hope that you will continue to post. -- AlI don't think I have much of a choice mate with my partner of work looking after the baby & me getting a £9000 pay cut next month don't think it would be fair to be spending lot of money on this hobby but I'm happy with what I've got :smile2:

my other hobby is wooden warships of the 16-19th centuries
near 400$US for a polystone plane...
Look this week I bought this HMS victory 38'' long by 36'' high by 12'' wide all made with wood and linen plus some metal and resin parts... for 450$ at a local auction including taxes and fees.. (you can find some on the net for twice this amount).... this boat took at least 100 hours of work to complete... and it's plank on frame construction so no cracking will occur...
Really, no polystone crappy planes for me..
Alex
one thing's for sure, in 5 years people will be kicking themselves for not getting this plane....
