That is possible.
one thing's for sure, in 5 years people will be kicking themselves for not getting this plane....
Rob, The facts remain that most collectors would like to purchase this plane but will "not be able to"....and many of us think that prices are spriraling out of control....Time will tell...but one thing is for certain....If we continue to accept such prices....they will be raised further......I think the cieling has been reached for many of us except the select few..very few...Sad but true....Best Frank
I see where you are coming from Frank, but the fact remains that some years down the line there will no doubt be people who wished they'd got this. I see it all the time in friends and fellow collectors, not just with K&C but with Britains, Trophy,Figarti etc. I'm not sure I agree Frank when you say a 'select few', I don't believe this is true. There is always money out there , plenty of people still have it and pay £50-£60 per figure for their particular fave producer etc because they love the product, that works out at about five or six figures for the price of this aircraft. Why do they do this, again because they love the product and believe it to be superior to others. I don't think its always just a question of money , its also about the items you really want in your collection and what style you prefer. Beauty in the eye of the beholder and all that:smile2:
Cheers
Rob
Im with you Rob i know this is off topic but i dont care what a STUKA costs i will buy it,so same here for the TYPHOON either you want one or not it is hard to say no.
Wayne, If you don't care what it costs....Then it will most certainly cost you more.....prices will be pushed until collectors take a stand..Where that price level actually is remains to be seen as Brad said in Post#166.....Sad that for some guys they have "no choice" but to say "no" for economic considerations.
Unless you're well off where money really isn't a factor, then money is a factor in the decisions you make in your daily life.
If you tell a maker of a product I don't care what it costs, well he will charge you what he can. It's just human nature. I would do the same.
As far as I just have to have it, that's an emotional response. There are many items I wanted to purchase and felt I "had to have" them as opposed to did I really "need" them. After I didn't get them I learned to live just fine without them and questioned myself as to what the heck was I thinking.
Manufacturers (and I'm not singling out ts makers) prey on that had to have versus need. Until you separate the two in your mind, you will never make logical buying decisions.

It is indeed sad if people have to stop collecting and leave the hobby, nobody wants to see that. But at the same time prices are rising everywhere, food, petrol, cars, many other hobbies too. There are many Cars or foreign holidays I'd love to partake of, but I have to say no I'm afraid, few can afford everything.
Also re the Typhoon this is the biggest Warbird so far and takes a hell of a lot more material than the Spit,Hurricane or P51. Finally one other point, when those of us who are buying it get it home set it up with figures and vehicles and get great pleasure out of it, how do you put a price on that?.
Wayne, we are alike in that we both have a great passion for our chosen subject and your enthusiasm is good to see. Its a great hobby and its great to share it here on the forum.
Where we are totally different of course is that ONE of us holds the Ashes! {eek3}^&grin:wink2:
Rob
Thank you Neil. I was trying to put into words the decisions we make in our heads about how we go about buying something. I've always wanted a Porsche since I was a kid but unlikely to get it
Rob, with Wayne you never know ^&grin
You had to bring that up "Cobber' just when we where getting along.:wink2::smile2:

Not exactly true here Rob as you left out the most recent Warbird, the P-47. The P-47 is a larger plane than a Typhoon and it was released very recently last month or two? That's what I don't understand... the $110 increase over the larger P-47.^&confuse
