US/Israel Launches Op Epic Fury Against Iran (5 Viewers)

An insight into NATO Vs US relations.

An earlier broadcast by UK Sky News (somewhat surprisingly) pertaining to relations between NATO and the US, in particular its current president.

Saw that Israel reported that the Iranians are targetting their Nuclear sites.........Isn't that what have been targetted in Iran as well, so no surprise there in tit for tac conflicts. The reporter [sensationalising things] said there is a worry about a country using a tactical nuclear strike, but the worrying thing was he never mentioned which country and in this situation i do not know which one he meant?

Gulf countries such as Saudi, Oman, UAE, etc like US bases in their countries for protection. If the current situation continues will they feel the same? In the near future they may, as they are terrified of Iran, in the West we tend to think of all of them as Muslim, but Iran [and Iraq] is mainly Shia, while these others are Sunni. which is a whole conflict in it self.

This US action is just an echo of history, in 1953 the British and Americans deposed a very popular leader, as he wanted to nationalise the country's oil industry, so MI6 and the CIA organised a coup. Which bought in the Shah, who was a puppet for the UK and US interests, and as brutal to desenters as was the following regime.

Now it is about not just or even about oil, but the nuclear threat, whether true or perceived, which does not matter as perception can be more important than the truth. The Iranian regime has seen what has happened to other middle east states and dictators and sees the Nuclear option as a protection [or what we would call defense] again attack. As no one is attacking other rogue states such as N Korea, which probably has something to do with them having nuclear capabilities, plus would Russia have been so keen to attack Ukraine if they had kept their nuclear weapons? Add to this the problems the US and the Israeli heads of state are having at home. Once Israeli is not in conflict, he will be out of office and then they will reopen the corruption charges which were being being prepared. While in the US there seems to be a stagnating economy and the Epstein files. Plus no one is mentioning tariffs, or even the part destruction of one of the most beautiful ironic houses in the world, The White House. An American friend of mine message me and said he is doing so much damage to the White House I thought he was in the British Royal Navy.

Israel has had nuclear weapons for decades. Not even their worst enemies in the gulf have ever indicated that they feared Israel would use them in an offensive fashion.

Meanwhile countries like Iran have state policies calling for the destruction of Israel with nukes being the fastest way to accomplish this goal.

The bottom line is whether it is a rock in a slingshot or a thermonuclear missile the entire Israeli arsenal exists for defensive purposes.

Agree, the current regime in Iran are militant, aggressive and preach the Death to anybody against them, mainly the USA and Israel. IN the past, if I recall, they also and continue to advocate for Death to all in the West. Well, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand they want death and destruction to anybody but them. How any nation could think this current leadership in Iran are positive is beyond me.

What current regime/leadership is that; every time they announce a new leader, he gets clipped. Who's calling the shots now exactly?

Trump is quoted as saying they have 48 hours to unblock the strait of Hormuz or else he's going to obliterate their power plants, this a day after he said the offensive was winding down..............this ought to end well.

Instead of shipping through the Straight of Hormuz...I read that Saudi Arabia can and is now piping oil to the Port of Yanbu on the western side of Saudi bypassing having to use the Straight of Hormuz...instead coming out through the Red Sea...and has increased delivery there...they can handle 7 million barrels per day...so that may help some...

also the United Arab Emirate is piping oil to the Port of Fujairah...in the Gulf of Oman...which is just a bit south past the Straight of Hormuz...much smaller than Yabu's capacity at about 1.8 million barrels per day...

both pipelines bypassing the Straight of Hormuz...these could help offset the 20 million barrels of oil per day that used to pass through the Straight of Hormuz daily by almost 50%...

but if I know this...I'm guessing Iran does too and will probably try to destroy these...I hope the US already has anti-missile defenses in place to protect them...

There is that............but I think you know where I was going with that! The Ayatollahs are just plain bad apples, bred in hatred and hatred in practice. They aligned themselves with a fanatical arm of the military that they built. Irony here is they hated the Shah for his corruption of the riches, but they are doing the same thing to their people but with heightened brutality and hatred for nearly 50 years. The Shah had an iron fist ruling within, these nutjobs want to have that same iron fist within and without, ie over the entire "free" world all in the name of their own version of religion.

People have beat on Jews forever, but last time I looked, world domination was not on the to do list! At one point in history, Catholicism could have been accused, but that was a long time ago and while religions can have a fervor, I only see one religion preaching Death to the Infidels and it doesn't appear to be Christians or Jews!

Or anybody else, only Islam.

I don't see what the plan/end game is with this war; you took out their leadership, but who's taking over?

Another extreme, radical whack job, that's who. Or the one after that, or the one after that, or the one after that.

IMO, boots on the ground will be needed to finish the job, which will be long and costly.

Also, you'd think the strategic significance of the strait of Hormuz would have been considered; if their navy and air force are wiped out, how are they blocking the strait?

This whole thing does not appear to be very well thought out, like when the Germans launched their offensive in the ardennes in December 1944; the roads for the most part were too narrow for their tanks to travel along, they did not have enough fuel for their vehicles, had to rely on captured fuel to keep things going.

Follow the money..........................as one of my investments has tanked so badly it's now below principal, yesterday my financial advisor mentioned something about Trump is indebted to some bigtime donors of his, had no idea what she was on about.

But now..............makes perfect sense.

I'm sure my egghead Penn graduate far right loon cousin will explain all of this away; this explanation ought to be a gem.

Well, he might say something like; take a closer look at the More Perfect Union, it was founded by Faiz Shakir, a far left progressive anti-semite and is a former advisor to Bernie Sanders, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid and a former Political Director of the ACLU. Much of its funding has come from the Open Society Foundation, founded by George Soros. Shakir has a long history of anti-Jewish/anti-Israel remarks, so, I wouldn't put too much stock into anything the More Perfect Union puts out.

I can't answer the strategy, etc. Typically, if Israel is involved, it is done with precision. It looks like today there were some sort of talks that are having a positive effect on the markets and oil prices are already plunging which should help in a few months time. (Gas prices here go up over the Summer regardless of oil price per barrel as demand rises).

Boots on the ground would be ill advised in today's world for a myriad of reasons. I can guarantee that if 50% agree with the strikes now, a boots on the ground would reduce that to 10%. Just not worth it as you can't fight the war you need to fight. As my late Grandfather said many times before his passing and as a WW2 veteran - people may rework history and condemn people like General Patton, but they knew how to wage a war - ie total war. That is impossible with today's press coverage. By definition war is horrid, modern thoughts do not have the stomach for what would be necessary. And to illustrate my point - look at the aftermath of Gaza, forget the fact that this area has waged terror wars for 50 years or more, look at the outpouring (misplaced in my opinion) of sympathy.

Thanks for the tip.

I guess that couple gave him 250 million and expected nothing in return then.

If it's a load of BS, it's quite a load.

I'll tune into FOX news to get the real story.

And my cousin thinks Trump is not to blame for any of this, according to him this is all Carter's fault going back to 1979 and he has no doubt that the Iranians would have launched nukes within days before the war started.

I'll keep that in mind the next time I look at my portfolio that lost 25 grand in value in three weeks and is now below principal.

And dropping.

I'll have to sell toy soldiers now until I'm 108 years old, would have been nice to fully retire at some point and enjoy the time I have left; scratch that plan.

I guess my point is how do you "install" a user friendly regime in Iran at this point, it's just going to be one radical extremist after another running the show.

Maybe Hassenbeensobar is available, I heard he gave up his job as the doorman at the oasis hotel after it got leveled in an air strike.

I'll just follow my egghead cousin's thought and blame Carter for all of this; when things go sideways, it's always good to have someone to blame.

Trump said earlier in the Truth Social post that the U.S. and Iran had “VERY GOOD AND PRODUCTIVE CONVERSATIONS REGARDING A COMPLETE AND TOTAL RESOLUTION OF OUR HOSTILITIES IN THE MIDDLE EAST.”

The U.S. president said these talks would continue through the week. It was not immediately clear who participated in the talks or when they where they were held.

Iran's semi-official Mehr News Agency quoted the Foreign Ministry in Tehran as denying President Donald Trump's claim of talks between Washington and Tehran.

so who do we believe?

How is it possible to have very good and productive conversations regarding a complete and total resolution of our hostilities in the middle east with a cardboard cut out?

maybe he is confused and is talking to a cardboard cut out... o_O...but the stock market seems to like the story...
So I guess the rumor that today would be a "black Monday" was just that, a rumor............probably started by the same people who claim that rich Jewish couple that gave Trump 250 million dollars are also dictating our foreign policy, because we all know for a fact that's not true.

I saw another story where Trump wants to send Marines to Kharg Island to prevent Israel from blowing it to bits, Trump wants to keep the Iranian infrastructure intact for the new regime vs Israel wanting to make Iran into a parking lot.

George it seems like everything done in politics today and always has the flavor of quid pro quo...

and in the grand scheme of things...$250 million is not a lot of money...as strange as that sounds...

I have not researched this enough to comment any more than that...but I am sympathetic towards Israel...just my opinion...

I would hate to exist/live in Israel in such close proximity to Iran...coupled with anti-sematic terrorists surrounding me while I have my back to the Mediterranean Sea...

My egghead cousin said "What's different about this from the situation we were faced with in Iraq is that the average Iranian is very Western. Thousands have died in open rebellion. Expats celebrating our action. There are moderate elements that we will ensure step in and the people will support. Someday there'll be a Trump statue in Tehran."

To which I replied; "A statute of Trump? Really; tell you what, it'll be really expensive. Not because it'll be made out of gold but because it'll take a LOT of bronze to depict Trump."

As you can probably tell, I'm not a fan of Trump at the moment, I voted for him, but I don't blindly go along with everything he does and that's my right, if people don't like it, too bad............like tariffs that cost me and my customers a small fortune......or this war, which has cost my investments and millions of others investments another small fortune............and YEAH, I get it, I won't be touching that money for another 5 to 10 years, but I feel for the people who ARE touching that money and are taking a financial bath.
