US/Israel Launches Op Epic Fury Against Iran (9 Viewers)

From our support of Israel and in the name of freedom and democracy I unequivocally support the war with Iran.

It is worthwhile on many level.

However I equally respect those with an opposing view.

Pete Hegseth’s attempts to equate opposition to the war as unpatriotic goes against my core beliefs.

Disagreement and discussion are the hallmarks of what make our nation great.

Name calling and empty accusations expose weakness.

I never like name calling, it means you don't have something more substantial to say. The ONLY time I did find it appropriate was Pocahontas. I have to admit that when Warren tried to claim her American Indian, subsequent Native American (her words on both counts here) that was blatantly false, I feel like she go what she deserved.

Now, I can't figure out how to multi quote - but one thing I do agree with is the crackdown on public universities when the blatant hate speech, violence and rhetoric was going on. That is not free speech and I still applaud Governor Abbott to the highest degree when I had a student at the University of Texas. He shut that down immediately and arrested those outsiders post haste. That was trouble brewing that included violence and DPS moved in and out they went never to return to campus. It tried to return once, my son and I were seeing Kiss at the Moody Center(off campus) and sure enough, DPS to the rescue. Violent agitators, not protestors arrested immediately. I have no qualms with peaceful demonstrations, but in todays world, these large gatherings are organized, funded and are anything but peaceful. If we continue to enforce the law, maybe this starts to stop this nonsense. I am sick and tired of the excuses being preached that these are innocent protestors, they are not - plain and simple. SO if we want to focus on something the administration and adminstrations around the Country are right on - that is it. Again, this issue gets to me because of the parroted talking points in the other posts. Columbia, Texas, UCLA et al were NOT FREE SPEECH. They are ANTI AMERICAN and organized, if people can't see them for what they are, then we are truly a lost land.

Tom...
I agree...Jan 6th...the Capitol...infuriated me and mad me embarrassed to be an American...
it got out of hand so quick...
if you can't protest peacefully without violence...you should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law...
Minnesota was guilty of this...both by protestors and ICE...agitators on both sides...
you wanna march peacefully...show your support...wave your sign in the air...dress up like a frog...I support that...
ZERO tolerance for violence in protests...

I only focused my post on the University bullshiite, but I agree, I don't condone violence in any of the ones mentioned. We really need to find a way to put an end to the foreign funded movements. They are violent and Anti American. I do believe the Minnesota riots from George Floyd to ICE were fanned with agitators, foreign and well organized influence. Nobody will convince me otherwise, these were not random protests on all fronts, they were riots, not peaceful assembly.

January 6th was a stain, I don't know how organized and funded it was versus a mob of out-of-control people with some very bad actors involved who are violent groups that deserve to be on a FBI watch list permanently. There were probably more domestic bad actors in this one and I hold it out all on its own. I also think there were a lot of citizens who got caught up in the frenzy and made some absolutely horrible decisions at the encouraging of others. I said this back then, say it now, I don't think Trump intended the violence and destruction that occurred, but he bears responsibility in the outcome. End of day - it bore the same outcome - an out-of-control riot. There is really no other word to describe these gatherings other than a riot of unlawful actions. As I said, it was a stain then, it is still a stain now on our History and I hope it never repeats itself.

Bottom line, as a lawful nation, we need to take back the narrative and enforce our laws. The word Police is NOT a bad word. It sickens me to no end to see the utter political and classless disrespect to law enforcement at all levels. It is just not right and I still will never understood why it is tolerated on many levels. It was not how I was raised nor the majority of Americans (I am sure of that).

Nonsense??? What I posted is not nonsense…34 convicted felonies… nonsense… a whole civilization will die… nonsense… what I said are facts… not nonsense…

And if you don’t believe it, or most probably just want to ignore it… I think your loyalty to Trump just overrides what has actually happened and that’s fine with me…

And no, I don’t believe assassins or murderers are heroes… how can you possibly insinuate that from my post?
That’s not even a logical assumption…
Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't appellate courts throw out those convictions? As for wiping out a whole civilization that is just Trump grandstanding. If you took that seriously you are pretty gullible. Everything else Trump says he is not believable but the civilization statement is gospel?

As of May 3, 2026, Donald Trump's 34 felony convictions in the New York hush-money case have not been overturned. While he received an unconditional discharge (no jail or fines) in January 2025 and is appealing the verdicts based on presidential immunity, he remains a convicted felon...

he is currently appealing the verdict based on presidential immunity...
presidential immunity
...what a slap in the face that is...
convicted of sexual abuse and cash bribes to make it disappear...convicted guilty of 34 separate felonies...and no jail time and no fines...
what a joke...no jail time...no fines...presidential immunity...

as he fired everybody in the DOJ...and put in his own "yes men"...and now controls the DOJ...that's the justice anybody who bucks him gets...

how about that for a "get of of jail card"...

As of October 2024, since the 1970s, at least 28 women have publicly accused Donald Trump of various acts of sexual misconduct, including rape, sex with minors, sexual assault, physical abuse, kissing and groping without consent, looking under women's skirts, and walking in on naked pageant contestants...

In a subsequent 2024 civil trial, Trump was again found liable for defamation of Carroll and ordered to pay her an additional $83.3 million...

does it make you wonder why he still has not released the Epstein files?

It's going to be a sad day in this country when Trump's presidency is up in about 2.5 years.

So many people will no longer have a target to direct all their anger towards, their hatred, no more TDS, no more "No Kings" rallies, no more ICE protests, shrinks will have a field day being flooded with patients who have no purpose in life any longer/people will be lining up at the tallest bridges waiting to jump off.

What are all the paid protestors/sh%t stirrers/bomb tossers going to do for money?

Will that ballbag who dresses like a giraffe and is at every protest and rally going to have to go get a real job now?

I don't agree with most of the things he does or the things he says, but my God, he's not in living rent free in my head, that's for sure.

I'll defer to others here who are more politically involved that I am, but if there has been another person in this country more divisive than him, I'd love to know who it is, it's beyond crazy to be honest.

I basically have him on ignore, I keep my head down and am just trying to squeeze whatever juice there is left in the toy soldier "business", never mind year by year, I'm going day by day at this point.

Yup, it will be a sad, sad day.

- Just curious... was business this tough before the tariffs.

the end of times is near George...gloom and doom...an apocalyptic collapse of the world...unparalleled suffering and distress...natural disasters...earthquakes...famine...flooding...and frogs falling from the clouds...the heavens will disappear from the skies...we will be lost…

Every time I go to the pump, it’s more and more. Thanks Donnie
Gas has gone up .30 cents here in MA in the past week, it's up about 1.50 a gallon since the war started.

Good thing we don't depend on foreign oil and we've got plenty here in the good old US of A................no doubt, as in none, that it will be up over 5.00 a gallon by Memorial Day weekend.

It's costing people 30.00 more to fill up their vehicles, that's 120.00 a month more for people who commute a good distance to work, then have to shuttle kids around to baseball/soccer/whatever.

Then throw in grocery prices up, up, up, it's about 250.00 more per family per month since the war started, that's 3 grand a year more.

And the DOW tanked 500 points today as well, nice start to the week/month.

GEGJ fatso.

And Biden pardoned everybody but
Judas. The attorney general of New York ran her campaign to get Trump as did that AG in Georgia. Where is your out rage. So you said 28 women accused Trump of some sort of sexual thing and out of the 28 was there ever any proof? And why didn't they come forth when these heinous acts occurred. As for Epstein files the Biden Democrats had those files why did they not release them? As for the DOJ it was proven the whole Russian interference thing was made up. I guess you can live with that. In actuality we are both beating our heads against the wall as we will never change minds.

It’s fair to say this thread is going off the rails.
I don't know Brad, there are a couple of good points here and there. History will eventually write itself and we shall have to see how it shakes out, I think the intent with Iran is spot on, it will be interesting to see how the job completes.

Also, regarding gas prices, there are so many factors that go into it, but I have to say, we should simply look at history, there has been a spike every 2-3 years b/c of something - War, we stopped drilling, we went green, and on and on. I think that market is exactly what it says it is - a commodity. And it is a commodity that is in an arguable "fixed game" market. Inflation - by definition it never goes down. Once a store/maker etc can achieve a price, they "ain't giving it back". Also, I think you have to look at all the reasons for prices going higher and here is the biggest one that no one will talk about - WAGES. All you have to do is look at the raising of minimum wages across the land. Labor is at its highest it has ever been, it is part of the reason why we have a very strong "spend based" economy. When you have higher wages and low unemployment (which we do have), people spend.

And as I said before, whether it is in Texas or Maryland, I see a lot of people eating out daily. I see a lot cars on the road daily, thanks traffic. I don't see a lot of people hunkering down like its the end of times. And our economy won't let them, don't worry, we will just continue to extend credit and spend our way out of it. One day the piper will demand to be paid, I just don't think I will see it in my lifetime.

I think there are a number of interesting points here as well as will add a few.

A. Clinton - how many women has the man cheated with during his marriage. I have a feeling it is in the Wilt Chamberlain stratosphere. That said, does it take anything away from his good and bad actions as a President - NO. Is he a good person, I don't think so, but he, like any other President had some tremendous accomplishments and some terrible misses. IF he had not gotten exposed with Lewinsky, he could have been the greatest President of modern times and would have had Republican Congressional Backing. Instead, you could arguably blame him for the start of the political division and vitriol we have today.

B. Biden - how long was the cover up of his cognitive condition going on? I have a feeling it was a lot longer than the end of his Presidency. He probably should have never had the job from the beginning. I said this before and it came from one of my parents whose political affiliation is neutral - and I quote - " The man had a low IQ 40 years ago when he entered Congress, what in the world made anyone vote for him thinking his IQ had increased after 40 years in Congress". My quote - you can't fix stupid. Sad but true.

C. Biden - how many pardons did he really clear and agree with? We will never know, but I am betting he was not aware of all of them. To me, that was a criminal act by his aides.

D. Trump - I have always said, where there is smoke there is fire, however, I really don't know how many of the stories are true. How many were investigated? Do I think he is a world class womanizer (and I don't mean that in a good way). Yes. Rapist - eh, I think that goes a little too far.

E. Trump's New York Trials - If we all think he got a fair trial, I have a problem with that. He was in front of a Judge who was not in least non prejudicial, he was. Did Trump help himself? Resounding NO - by far the worst legal representation and strategy I have ever witnessed in both the individual and the business trial. The business trial was a sham IMO, not because I don't think the business was borderline testing legal waters, but because every real estate trust I know of does the same thing. I am not saying its right, but it was never tried or enforced publicly til his business. All of this said, his business was guilty and should have gotten a routine judgement against, instead he got a fine that has never been see before! So guilty, yes, fair NO.

F. Trump - Russia - This is probably one of the biggest reasons I have some sympathy for him (even though his mouth usually takes it away). No American candidate or office holder has ever in the history of the United States had such a calculated hit job put on them with the full cooperation of a lot of players at all levels - the rich, the politicians, the government agents and the press. I am sorry, but it is disgusting and I would say that if it happened to any President - Democrat, Republican or Independent.

G. Trump's Mouth - His worst Asset and the worst Asset of the entire United States.

H. Epstein - I think he was the supreme definition of a disgusting and demented individual. I also think he had files on more people then we will ever know and at least for the time being, regardless of who is in power - Democrat or Republican - we are not going to get the full story. I really don't necessarily think there is true evidence on either Trump or Clinton other than circumstantial (IMO), however, the powerful people we have not heard about are where the real story lies. I still don't think it was coincidence that Epstein died in custody, if you do, I have a bridge to nowhere for sale, quick cash sale!

Trump is easy to dislike on a lot of levels, but he is the President of the United States and like every one of them during my lifetime, whether I hated or liked them, I always rooted for them to succeed while they were there, that is an easy question to answer - A rising tide lifts all boats.
