Hi Guy,

Here’s a little look at the first of three young Vietnamese girls riding a ‘Vespa’ motor scooter.

To help show it off I put together this 21” x 21” diorama utilizing one of two great ‘Collectors Showcase’ helicopters I picked up a couple of years back.

As you can see this one has come to grief after coming under accurate ground gunfire and suffering a major malfunction!

All the best and enjoy...
Andy

She looks fabulous Andy. A very nice addition to the series, bring her on. Hope you have not damaged that Huey, certainly looks down and out. Great way to showcase the Vespa and eagerly await all 3. Robin.

Fabulous diorama Andy. Hopefully the crew of the Huey got out ok !

The lady in the Ao Dai looks spot on and she'll be getting added to my collection.

looks amazing!😁👍
The Vietnam series is one of the best series this year, and we're not even halfway there.

Thanks Guys for your support...I really love Huey Helicopters and wanted to use one of the CS Huey’s as the focal point of the dio.

Also I love displays that have ‘water’ in them as I feel it gives them an extra dimension...in addition,The little Vietnamese girl on her Vespa adds a splash of colour in a ‘sea of green’.

I hope to show you more later...
Adios for now,
Andy.

Try as I might to resist adding a new line this year, this series is clearly something I'll need to dive into-it's been great to watch it grow.

The Vietnam War is/was one of the most important conflicts of the post WW2 period...As one who lived through that time, but did not take part, I have always been fascinated by the subject and the participants both military and civilian...

AS a K&C range it has provided myself and our sculpting team with a wealth of creative opportunities and some challenges too!

Mike,if you decide to ‘jump-in’...I can assure you, you won’t regret it...
C’mon in...the water is decidedly warm.
All the best,
Andy.

I suspect it got it's 'wings' clipped :wink2: I have the same set, not easy to find these days.

Andy did you buy a damaged Huey or did you do it ?
Great dio mate.

The ‘battle damage’ was all ‘set-inflicted’...and not by an AK47 either!
One of Gordon’s electric drills brought the ‘chopper’ down.
Glad you like it, Wayne.
All the best,
Andy.

Hi Guys,
I meant to write...’self-inflicted’...Oops!!!
Andy.

The helicopter and the girl are the strong points of this dio.

Well, to some extent I agree, however a good diorama consists of many different elements which also include the landscape and the original concept as well as the actual composition of every item in the picture...and, in my humble opinion, good photography.
Andy.
