Thought I'd try to create in a few small scenes the story as far as I can of the campaign from the French and British view.
I've tried creating a diorama with tips gleaned from the photos of dioramas done by the regulars, so thanks guys !

This first scene is set early on 15th June 1815. Napoleon has made his move and crossed the border, his Army is pouring into Belgium.

The figures are mostly Kronprinz with a few Britains of which Napoleon is one !
Hope you enjoy !
Will try to get the next scene done this coming week.

As an afterthought I decided to add these photos of the march as well
though the bases show here.
All Kronprinz this time.

Excellent diorama Steve and I like the side on, low down pic's the best. Great collection, thanks for posting.

Tom

This is quite a good display. Those Kronprinz figures look very neat en-masse.Welldone that man.

First 3 are my favourite they look great cheers for taking the time to post.

Looks really good, never seen so many KP figures together and they really present very well. Just something about French Line figures. :salute::

Nice diorama Steve and your mass collection of figures is impressive as well. Well done Regards Greg.

looks really good Steve, can't wait for the next scenes. Chris

Darkness had fallen in Brussels and many were already asleep in bed when the call to arms was sounded by Drum, Bugle and Bagpipes throughout the city.
The whole of Picton's 5th Division were billeted in the city with orders to muster in the Place Royale. Little sleep did the inhabitants get that night with rumours flying round of the Prussians having been defeated and now retreating.
Taking their leave of their wives and families the men of the 5th Division marched out of the city with their Colours unfurled.

Steve

Mostly Britains figures, a few Kronprinz, one First Legion figure and JJD pack horse.

Glad you're liking the photos Gents.
Hopefully will start to do a few scenes of Quatre Bras starting at the weekend, got some drilling and gluing to do first though !
Steve

The Dutch-Belgian troops holding Quatre Bras are having a hard time holding on waiting for reinforcements, eventually early in the afternoon the 95th arrive and are immediately directed to take and hold the woods to the East of the crossroads keeping open the line of communication to the Prussians who despite the rumours are still in the fight. French Voltiguers are already starting to penetrate the woods.

All figures by Britains.

Nicely done scene Steve. Lot's of foliage and plenty to see. Well done mate.

Tom

Thanks Tom, staying in the woods for the next scene, its a shame that no manufacturer has done any Dutch-Belgian troops, but I suppose they'd not be big sellers, even though mostly it'll only mean a paint job for a lot of them using existing figures of other troops already in production.

Steve,

Just catching up on this thread of yours. Very nicely done!! I love your scenic and the positioning of your camera angles.

Each scene tells the story quite well too.

Thanks for sharing and I look forward to more.

Mark

The afternoon of the 16th June progresses as the 95th continue to push the French skirmishers out of the woods and into the tall Rye fields, the rest of the Picton's 5th Division arrives Quatre Bras and deploys as do the Prince of Orange 1st Division as more of it arrives.

Mixture of Britains, First Legion and Kronprinz figures.
