We Want You!!!! (1 Viewer)

Hey guys I really consider this an important service of a Forum. The ability to tell Manufacturers what we would like to see produced. The Treefrog Forum is so vast, that this aspect could be missed.

We just opened a section on our Web Site called Members suggestions. This will not be a Forum, just a specific category to voice your ideas. I will inform all of the Manufacturers that we now have this feature. You must be a member of out site to participate. It will be for Members only, to reduce any nonsense. We will limit suggestions to WWII, Vietnam and Modern Warfare for now. Alex

Thanks for your thoughts. My dad died in 1982, still think about him every day..After seeing The Pacific, now i know why he had only a few stories to tell - from Guadalcanal to Iwo Jima, he saw a lot of action. Another great series would be a Chosin Reservoir range of Marines .. Semper Fi to you and yours!!

Thanks. My dad died in 2003 and I too think of him every day. He was pretty straight forward with his war experiences when my brother and I would ask. He said they were all young kids with a job to do.

Has anybody noticed how much the K&C "unsellable" Japanese tank is going for now? or the first run of action posed Japanese infantry? who else makes metal japanese tanks? They sell now..

Kingtoot: that K & C stuff has really taken off. I finally got my collection complete thanks to some guys on here--Phantom, Vampire, Stan, and Larry to name some that really helped. Larry was the real guat came thru the most and he deserves real thanks from me--and he has it!!!!

I think Andy is seeing now, that his Marines and Japs have really taken off. If you don't believe that, ask at any of the shows, how many are available? The people that have them are definately holding on.................Stryker

jbonzo1: your family sounds like mine, and we are VERY proud of all of thier accomplishments. Kingtoot: I know how proud of your dad you are. He was a hero and saw alot of action. The Marine Corps is full of heroes in each generation, just like the vets of Tarawa and Iwo, to Chosin Resovoir and Khe Sanh to Fallugah today. All these guys just did thier jobs at the time--whenever thier time was. They didn't ask for brass bands and parades upon homecoming--instead they wanted to know that they accomplished thier mission and NEVER let thier buddies or thier Corps down............Stryker

Thanks. It's weird, but my uncles on my mother's side all seemed to be in the Army in Europe. One flew B-17's, another was a glider pilot who participated in Market Garden and the other two were grunts. They all joined the Army before they broke up brothers from serving together. They are all gone now but will never be forgotten. I attended a cousin's funeral two months ago and at the end of the service, his casket was wheeled out of the church while the choir sang the Marine Corps Hymn... there was not a dry eye in the sanctuary.

We are interested in continuing our WWII brand, specifically figures sets, that are totally unique and fill the demand for un-explored poses and set composition.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't recall any company ever making the iconic grey SdKfz 251 troop carrier. You have a nice model in winter & tropical, how about simple grey?

I have been to one of those myself, and know what you mean. All vets, especially the WWII generation are heroes. Our family is very close to the Marine Corps vets.................Stryker

:) Ron ! When K&C First made the IWO-JIMA Series ,they sold out very well! The Second Series of IWO-JIMA, has sold , but Not like K&C First Original Series! I like the PACIFIC Series on TV, but it gets Boring, I Guess Andy , didn't go into the Japanese Artillery,Mule carrying Supplies, and Armor, and U.S. Marines Amphibious 75MM LVT4A1, and Artillery Units also? Also, the European WW2 War has a Lot more to Excite and Offer many Variances, of Armor Troops,Artillery,ETC! CIAO!

How about a Pak 44? These come on a variety of very interesting carriages.

Whatever company makes a great PAK 40 better buy some wheelbarrows to haul the cash to the bank!:D

set of Navajo Code Talkers
set of running Marines
set of Marines jumping off of LVT
set of firing Marines
TWO sets of hand to hand combat Marines and Japanese

Not all these are "action" figures, mostly eastern front:

Stalingrad - german soldiers writing letters home, sharing a pile of rubble together in winter, wounded, despair, one sleeps, one eats, one keeps a watch over the destroyed wall for the approaching russians..

Stalingrad - Russian officers accepting German officer's surrender, winter, this could be expanded with other figures, or just be a small set piece with a few figures

Russian soldiers capture a downed stuka pilot, as he assists his wounded gunner, another Russian soldier is going through his kit looking for souveniers..

Russian political officers shooting deserters

German soldiers pulling a stranded vehicle out of the mud, w/ or w/o horses [photo references]

German tank crew cleaning the barrel of their Tiger I tank, summer, shirts off, could be combined with other crew loading ammo on/into the tank, or working on the engine, making repairs, etc [Kursk photos]

German winter tank crew receiving awards in front of their tank [also suggested on the K&C thread, Wittmann photo]

German tank commander's conference, could be Normandy or eastern front [photo ref]

German stuka pilot receives wreath for 1000 missions flown from his fellow pilots, bottle of wine in hand [photo ref]

BOB - German paratroop tank riders on a Tiger II [plenty of photo reference]

Normandy or Germany - farmers surround downed allied bomber pilot, German soldier attempting to intervene to prevent lynching [ok, this one is a little odd, but I am in the middle of the bombing offensive over Germany in Richard Evans "The Third Reich at War":)]

Let me give Afrika some thought...

Well, since you are not taking any ideas for an "Italian Front".. I will put forth my ideas for the series you suggested..
AK - An "ITALIAN" AB41 police regiment for TUNISIA '43 -Arab Civilians -

EASTERN FRONT- Berlin '45 -which includes city/seelow hights/and battles around the forest -specifically - HITLER YOUTH SNIPERS- VOLKSTURM UNITS- SOVIET CASUALTIES- SS DIVISION W/a HANGMAN (for deserters)/FLAK 88's @ ZOOTOWER - SPANISH VOLUNTEER UNITS/for earlier battles in Eastern front. i suggest the HUNGARIAN ARMOURED CAR.

NORMANDY - FRENCH VICHY TROOPS- FRENCH AFV's IN GERMAN SERVICE-GERMAN CAMERMAN/NEWS CORRESPONDANTS, GERMAN HORSE-DRAWN CARRIGEES FOR SUPPLEYS.

Don't be afraid to "think outside the box" - even if the products offend some people!

Eastern Front? OK!

Longcoats Russian soldiers

The Berlin set-up certainly does offer alot of various vignettes.:D

Forgot one thing.. seems 1/30 market in general, lacks "loose" weapons.. PLEASE - make some panzerfausts, panzershrecks, k98 mausers, and MP40's.. They are great for being around troops, or just shrewn around a battlefield during or after a battle! Yes, Yes, i know there is a company that makes 1/30 battlefield accessories, but in my opinion they lack a lot of stuff that is needed..
Thanks

For the Fall of Berlin, I would like to see a figure grouping of young boys in uniform, receiving medals from an officer, or even the Fuhrer himself. I think that would make a great "story" set. The idea of course comes from several period photos.

Mike

Medics, wounded and dead figures, destroyed vehicles, figures relaxing, prisoners!:D

Western Front - German officer staff car being straffed by allied aircraft. Could be Rommel. Would make a nice diorama with low flying aircraft lining up staff car on a country road somewhere in France.

Plot to kill Hitler - SS Home Guard soldiers take army officer conspiritors into custody. A commemorative set of the execution of Von Stauffenburg in the Army HQ Benderblock courtyard in front of firing squad with General Fromm onlooking? Companion piece to K&C release of Op. Valkyrie?

may be a bit too historical or unrealistic to really portray in miniature. mike
