You are confusing "Oz", the nickname for the Oswald State Correctional Facility from the 'Oz' Television series with one of the slang words for Australia (Oz) which is derived from the term Aussie. Australians pronounce Aussie or Ozzie with a harsh "s" sound (Oz-ee) rather than a softer "s" (Aw-see) as most American do.

I just got back into Toy soldiers have been on a Britain's kick.

On the right we have a Marine with a Thompson SMG from the Banana Wars in Nicaragua in the 1930s, followed by two British soldiers from WW1, followed by an Astralian Lighthorseman from King & Coountry, followed by another Britains WWI soldier, followed by 2 Britain's soldiers from WWII, followed by a General Pershing, and ended off by two Britian's Nazis armed with STG44s also known as MP44s.

Just arrived this morning. The new limited edition flag bearer and the two lancers I was missing.

Have to say that these are stunningly beautiful pieces. Want to take out all of the Hussars and photograph them but opening these three boxes has left me nervous enough

This week I collected the 2 standard bearers from my local shop to complete my Battle of Leuthen diorama by John Jenkins.



ROT-11 Roth Wurzburg Infantry Regiment, Infantry Officer With Colonel's Flag & ROT-12 Roth Wurzburg Infantry Regiment, Infantry Officer With Regimental Flag shown with an escort of musketeers.

Maybe this the finish of this group, but I hope that John will do another set to be able to assemble another diorama from this period ???

The 3 WoR figures are resin masters that John kindly sent to me when they were in the prototype stage a few years back, and he asked me to paint them.



I chose to paint the colours of Thomas Stanley, 1st Earl of Derby who came in to the Battle of Bosworth who initially were unaligned to either side, but sided with Henry to help him achieve victory on that day.
There also is a family connection, with my wife's family (Stanley's) originating in northern England.
