Lucky again, This Elastolin Reichswehr Figure of the 6cm range was a true lucky find.
Among all the toy manufactors of the time, I think Elastolin did the nicest scultured horses.
Figure is in good shape albeit is age. Early 1930ies. Compare the pose to Thropy WW1 German mounted officer.
Enjoy and keep collecting

A King and Country Shore Patrol CPO (Chief Petty Officer) in the Winter blue uniform. This version wasn't available when the USN/USMC series was released, only in the Summer white uniform.

The first two figures from John Jenkins new series, "Wellington in India" has arrived today

wins-01b_1_.jpg

I am most impressed with these figures as it has been a couple of years since I have got new JJD figures in my collection and so I'm sure that this range will be one of the highlights of my collection.

This should keep my very happily buying figures, instead of painting castings, over the coming years as this series evolves.

My next lot is a 3 pack of 2/12[SUP]th[/SUP] Madras Native Infantry - advancing sepoys, which are now 'on order' :)

John

This is what I picked up at Chicago. I only found a few things some strange.
First is the JJD Horn Blower for my Conte Viking ship. It works surprisingly well.
Second is the HA destroyed factory. I purchased the smaller piece on here for a good deal so.. I spent 350 more to save money???? See how that works.

The other sets I bought are these two. They are a bit crude and were priced accordingly but I like them. I not sure they are everyone's cup of tea.
Now I have to figure out where to put them.

Recently I swapped some old HISTOREX and AIRFIX 1/32 scale kits and assembled with a local collector and gained these 4 Stadden Napoleonic figures as castings.

Inniskilling Dragoon Officer c 1810 & French Carabinier Officer, Trumpeter & Trooper c 1790

He had a load of Saddens that I have managed to go through and buy in the past 2 years, and so these are ones that were on my 'maybe get' list.

He's really happy to see them with my paintwork because he can no longer paint and glad they have 'gained their colours' and into a collection.

Hope you like them,
JOhn

I suppose the last three is Labayen when He sculpted like Stadden. Cheers

These look fantastic, wonderful old style tinplate toys. A great buy.
Thank you for sharing:salute::

These two part sets of casting made by French maker MHSP arrived today in SUPER FAST time ... 1 week from France to Australia !!!!!!!

The figures will now complete the 'Battle of Fleures 1794' set

mshp2.jpg

and 'Napoleon's Retreat from Moscow 1812' set.

mshp1.jpg

This Troika is the last of the vehicles from MHSP that I had to get and I am very pleased to now have it in my collection.

I now have a nice little project to keep me busy painting in the coming months and I'll show off the completed sets in this Forum when finished.

John

The seller I purchased all of my recent Trophy WWI acquisitions offered me two one of a kind specially painted Russian standard bearers, and a spring version of the Oxcart I had never seen before (I have the winter version). We agreed on a price and they are one their way here.

And now I remember seeing that and being wowed by it. I like the summer a bit better.

Just came back from a trip to Spain and France where I was able to get my hand on this rare find from a local collector: FL NAP0003 Bavarian Officer, 4th Sachsen-Hildburghausen

I had already FL NAP0002 (
Bavarian Standard Bearer, 4th Sachsen-Hildburghausen) and FL NAP0007 (Bavarian Drummer Boy, 4th Sachsen-Hildburghausen) now I have their commanding officer as well

Very nice. Congratulations!

I recently did some repair work for a local collector on his diecast vehicles, paint matching for chipped paintwork, and in lieu of cash for the job he gave me this set .....

Bastion C2.jpg

It is Bastion Models set C2 Imperial Chinese Artillery c1900 Peking.

He got it in a job lot of toys including vehicles at an auction, and doesn't collect toy soldiers .... lucky me ????:confused::confused:

John

I just got this figure back,it's a model kit by Beneito Miniaturas. It's a French Colonial Marine : Tonkin 1885
