I know you get some insider news so keep us posted unless JJD asks you to keep things to yourself.I know a manufacturer who lets me know some things but to keep it to myself at least for awhile.

Well … :rolleyes2: … I am not sure I can really go that far (JJD WWII Planes an BH sets, for example) , BUT this is one new range which I am really looking forward to.

As many know, I am big on the FIW <-> AWI <-> War of 1812 eras.
AND … I have multiples of JJD's RSF Indians …. LOVE Johns Indians ...^&grin

This new range should blend in real well with the FWI - AWI and RSF sets.

BRING THEM ON JOHN.

I haven't been collecting very long and my limited purse puts restricitons on what I can purchase, lol. Plus, I'm not into the World Wars or Napoleonics or any of the wider produced ranges so I hardly ever have much to get all that excited about when it comes to new releases. I was pretty excited about JJD Battle of Saratoga releases though.

Unlike Larry, this range may become my favorite JJD range to collect replacing my current favorite WWII carrier planes . . . . I attended the Chicago show and saw the prototype of the first sculpt, I believe to be of a mounted Crow or Black Foot . . . very impressively done . . . I too will follow this thread . . . .

But depending on the prices of monthly releases, there’s a little extra allowance

So, while I’m not looking at this new line for completeness, most certainly there will be figures which will be “must haves” , starting with the mounted Indian, shown at the recent Chicago Show.

Really looking forward to seeing what this line will offer, and most positive that it will not disappoint!

I totally agree, Mark.
Saw the Drums Along The Mohawk figures at the MFCA show last March, and the sculpting sure is on a most advanced level.
Whatever John will be releasing in the future, I rest assured it will be top quality.
It’s an exciting time for JJD collectors

Much like Larry, I think there may be some figures from this range that will fit into the 18th C (or at least pass for it).

As Konrad stated, JJ's products are top notch and I can't wait to see what he'll do with this range.

I think you might be stretching the time period a little to far. The fur trade peaked in the early 1840's with a change of fashion in hats. After which the rendedazvous came to an end. Mountain men continued to roam the Rockies for some time after that, but brigades of company men were no longer profitable.

Guess it all depends on what John decides to include under the title of this interesting new series.

Most of the time period is the 1820's-1840's would probably be called the golden years but really you can say it started when the Louisiana Purchase was completed.
