How can a horse's ears be ''backwards''? The animal has the ability to rotate its ears to hear what's to its front, side or rear without having to move its head.
The only way the ears could be wrong is if John placed them on its rump. - Everyone relax, No need for a massive recall.

I spoke to some friends that raises horses...
they said a horse can rotate his ears 180 degrees...
I don't think anyone here is quite at the panic point yet...
as I mentioned earlier...
lets see what John says...

I think they are referring to the inner cup of the ear facing the front of the horse, even when the horse"s ears are facing the rear the inner cup still curves towards the inside of the head.
This horse has ears that are like a satellite dish facing the wrong way IMO. Easy way to know if its a mistake is if John corrects it. He always has and likely always will.

Fed five this morning and checked their ears and asked them and ED said of course we can {sm4} no serious I watched them this morning and I'm saying they can, even walked behind the grumpy one who has known to kick out and his where back.

Wayne,
As a horse owner do they ears look off to you?
I agree with the they look a bit off crowd.

Like I said, The ears on Crows horse are not 'backwards'...…….And if you look at John's other horses you'll see their ears are sculpted the same way, with the cup of the ear facing to the back. - So everyone can sleep well tonight.

If you notice the red halter (headstall) has a strap behind the horses ears prevents it falling off the JJD halter seem to be missing strap behind ear current configuration nothing holding it on

ears are fine and I have two of the boys at home

I agree with the ears being ok. I have lots of horse figures with ears pointed in both directions. On the internet there are photos of American indians riding horses without the strap behind the ears although i can't see how the bridle would not fall off. Greg.

These photos make more sense now to see how it works. Called a war bridle. Greg

Thanks everyone for your help.I have no problem with the figure.

I guess we should be grateful it wasn't a Roman horse. Would have resulted in comparisons with Lego and Playmobile figures and twice as many posts.

Received mine today and as usual looks even better in the flesh so to speak :rolleyes2: I was really surprised how heavy the horse was.

If anybody who is taking pictures sees anything new for this range please take a picture of it.thank you in advance.

It's a shame this series has stalled and there doesn't look like anything on the horizon I think John has taken on too much at the moment and this is one of the series that is suffering. Maybe there might be news at the London show. Regards Greg.
