If you say so, nothing can ruin your day like a 22 year old LT who can't read a map and is calling shells in close or a half asleep FO (Forward Observer) who isn't paying attention and misses the grid mark as well. ^&grin^&grin

i read somewhere that the French blew up 75k of their own guys in WW1 due to inaccurate Arty fire- once you crank that lanyard someone is hitting the dirt.
no excuse for FO's... (drop short)....infantry officers can be excused ,even though they drop a 155 shell 1oo meters in front of you instead of 500 m....TomB

Most recent Artillery pieces assembled by the great Obee...I am looking forward to seeing them arrive by mail so as to take more pics and add them to the rest of the German pieces......and have them ready to smash some Soviets......
Cheers

These great WW1 Artillery Sets, were purchased as kits and our great friend Obee added magic to the casts and gave them life.......
The pictures are for one 5 inch howitzer ( Mountford ) plus complementary gunners ( Rose Miniatures - John Eden Studios ), one 18 pdr and one 13 pdr both from Hinchliffe with complementary gunners from Rose Miniatures ( John Eden Studios ).

Cheers to Obee on this great project.....

Also a mortar is artillery....{sm4}

Yes, and not always a man pack size, like this one from the Peninsular War in 1810.

Great artillery pics.....specially the heavies from WW1..............NO MANUFACTURER ( except for scale link with one offering only ) these days pay attention to such an important part of the Great War......It is a pitty but I guess the quick buck and the easy bottom line that these manufacturers gain by just dishing out light guns and infantry are aspects that silenced these beasts..........
