This is a 'must have' for me. Can't explain it, but I really like the 8-rad recon vehicles. Not to mention, the TG is at a great price point.

Same thing here! I will also get the figure, although personally I would prefer it with another head gear, despite the fact that I know it was used...

Very nice and a great value! Congrats to TG on another fine release.

There were only 101 Pumas produced between Sept 1943 and Sept 1944. Some were at the Bulge but I don't think were white. Some of them probably were white in the winter 1943-1944. My Panzer Tract reference on them is away but I should get it this weekend. There are a lot of details in that book.

From memory, the Recon Battalion of the 2nd Panzer Division had them in Normandy at D-Day.

several German Div had the Puma in Normandy , the 1st SS panzer definitely had them, also the Panzer Lehr and the 116th panzer. I attach a picture of the Puma that served as a model for TG's AFV and that belonged to the 1rste kompagnie ,Panzer Aufkärungsabteilung 2 - LAH div

Im not sure about that Mitch but i have a beast coming soon it can do a recon for..........................^&grin

Thanks for the info but, I know the disposition of them in normandy and that the LAH which, the normandy is marked up as had them but, I have not come across any which are whitewashed thats the question as I have looked in a number of references but, don't have any in this camo colour.

Wayne...

your may definately scout out some heavier german armour soon mate!!!
Mitch

Frank's list shows 3 mechanized divisions in Normandy with Pumas. They normally were allocated in sixes so that accounts for 18 of the 101 produced. Many went to divisions on the Eastern front in the winter of 1943-1944 and that is where there will likely be some white washed Pumas

Terry

Thanks, very useful information, although I have one remark to make:the 116th def had the 234/3
guy:)

There is no evidence that the Puma received a whitewash during the Ardennes offensive . I have a picture of a Puma beloging to Peipers battle group abandonned in La Gleize . It is painted in a red brown Tiger striped camo pattern
guy:smile2:

Well one is going to be fighting on my front i know that much...................^&grin

Of the 101 Pumas produced
25 went to Panzer Lehr
25 to the 2nd PzDiv
16 to the 1st PzDiv
16 to the 20th PzDiv
6 to the 7th PzDiv
? to the 13th PzDiv( number unknown)
and the Waffen SS Pru Amt & trainig units received the rest
guy:)

Mitch
there seems to exist a picture of a white washed Puma 234/2 taken in Silesia . I have never seen it however.
