Total madness, with those older models you just paying for a name.:confused:
Wayne.

That's what its all about in the art world. And that is what capitalism is all about, supply and demand. I have seen collectors pay exhorbitant sums for art, antiques, stamps, coins, dolls, trains and items some of us would think of as trash.
In this low interest, sinking home price and high risk environment its nice to see some things going up in value! Besides its more fun to trade toys than stocks.

Staggeringly unbelievable.{eek3} Nice to know that there are still people out there with that much play money floating around. Since my parents are dead, doesn't that make me an orphan? Does the buyer want to adopt a Forum member?^&grin

Good for the high bidder. I hope he enjoys it. I never like hearing or reading other people criticizing how someone spends their hard earned cash. You can't take it with you, enjoy it while your still above ground. Better to buy this then some burnt toast with an imaginary image of Jesus on it. Maybe I should buy a few of these so I don't spend so much on drinking and gambling.

Well said mate ive blown that at the track on GG,s and beer {eek3}^&grin so im not saying anything each to there own.
Have you ever though our wives/girlfriends/boyfriends/both/friends and family probably think where crazy spending 50 bucks on a toy-soldier just think how much your collection is worth,the price of this JP alone i could go to the Chicago show and meet all my USA buddies or London and finally meet Rob and co but if ya got it spend it no good when gone.

I'd have to agree with Wayne & co.....if someone wants to blow that kind of dough on a TS item good on-em, I hope it brings them joy{sm4}{sm2}.

At the end of the day, we all collect for pleasure.......don't we.....some of us simply have deeper pockets than others.:tongue:

In saying that, I can't say I'd have spent that amount on a TS tank or similar, but then again I struggle to buy a $42 figure, it's all relevant in the scheme of things.^&grin

Judging by the current price increases this will be the average price of a tank in 2 more years. Happy collecting

Are you really going with that? I suggest a switch to the glass half full rather than half empty philosophy.

Happy Collecting Indeed!

If K&C packaged up rocks and sold them as strictly limited half you collectors would buy them and tell everyone else how great they are.

What I think is really funny is that you can actually buy rocks from some manufacturers - don't know whether they're limited edition though. I am too busy saving to buy the sand.{sm4}{sm4}{sm4}{sm4}

The use of Latin always adds to a post!{sm4}{sm4}{sm4}

Mmmmmm, chocolate mousse, such a sweet dessert, one of my favourites............perhaps you should consider a name change to LEMON MOUSSE! given your sourness towards many of us Treefroggers who genuinely like K&C ( amongst many others ). :tongue:

I have nothing against Treefroggers. Just expensive poor quality TS. I rate K&C #5 amongst the current companies today. Quality before quantity.

Then you should buy the ones you like and not point out at every chance you get how poor K&C quality in your opion is. Why do you do this is this a little power trip your on or do you have a beef with K&C. I see glossy figure makers that don't appeal to me but I have never said what poor quality that they are being made. Just grin and bear it my friend and just enjoy toy soliders. I used to knock a few things mainly about cost but now I just pass and get what I really like . This approach has me buying far less but I do still like to collect. Good luck my choc buddy and I hope you will enjoy your collecting more in the future. Simmo.^&cool
