WSS72 panther conversion (1 Viewer)

Guys

Enclosed is a few pics of a recent panther conversion which I did for a friend and fellow collector. He supplied me with what details he wanted (reams of the stuff) which, stated he wanted the 'bowl' shaped wheels removed the tracks on the armour plate removed, new zimmeritt and markings for an LAH panther R02. The panther he supplied pics of before R02 was added and, before the camo was added as apparently it went into action before it was given its green and brown camo colour. He had photos; of it in the field after some rain and, wanted mud and, axle grease.

Also wanted the commander repainted in tanker black. I know conversions are not everyones cup of tea so, apologies to those who like their sets untouched

First class conversion, and if collectors want to convert their models that's their business, but not something I would consider.

Looks great. I have always liked the added armour on the sides over the tracks.

Really like the dunkelgelb color, unit emblem, MG, battle damage, and zimmerit detailing - looks like you beefed it up over the original, or is it just the way its been painted/weathered?

Not quite sure what you mean by 'beefed' up mate but, it did get some serious work with the dremmel to raise the polystone under the front fenders and in between tracks at the front, new mud guards at the rear and new kit bags on the turret. MG is a mould of HB and then recast. It had some serious weathering done to it and the painting is done by brush as I think it gives a better 'tank' look this way.

I don't have the original ws72, but whatever you did to "bring out" the zimmerit texture looks great.

All I did upon removal of the spare wheels and, the spare track was to go around the vehicle with Milliput spread thinly into place and used my trusty very small headed screww driver to imprint into it. Let it harden and then repaint did the whole vehicle but, just realised did not put on a rear shot
