It's always nice to see some diversity among toy soldier collecting. Looks like he's got a good one there!
Cool little scene. Not sure if the boat in the background is part of your collection or the backdrop, but nice job in any case.

Looks great Martyn. :salute::

Now I wonder what their mission is !?

Look forward to this thread developing.

Steve

I like that Navy launch, Martyn. Don't see much in the line of Navy and boats.

Great looking launch and blue jackets. Flag needs a little updating. :wink2: Terrific scene. Chris

I did a check regarding flags flown by the US Navy in this time period circa 1920's and found this, so I thought I would use that design on my boats
:wink2:
"Boat" Flags
In the middle 1800s, the Navy designed a flag specifically for use by small craft and boats. It appears that while the practice discontinued around World War I, the flags were still in the supply system in the 1950s.

Hi Martyn,

I've always liked ships and naval vessels. Looking forward to creating a few scenes of my own in the near future. Thanks for sharing yours and that little trivia/photo.
Cool stuff!

Fun scenes using the USN figures and a small Naval Skiff. (I am a bit partial ..:rolleyes:)
That is a fun fact to know, about the use of the 13-star flag.

Many Thanks,

---LaRRy
