Hi Jeff,

Don't think I'll make it to the 12.30 meet on the day but come and say hello on the Yeomanry Miniatures Stand.
Regards,
Brian.

Gentlemen,

Here are pictures of the Production version of the Mk IV Vickers Light Tank by Yeomanry Miniatures. Issued to the British Army in 1934 they saw service until 1939. Some, however were pulled out of "mothballs" after "Dunkirk" to equip armoured units that had lost all their equipment in France.

The pictures show EL-35 the basic version with hatches closed.

I hope you like this model.

I thought you might like to know that Yeomanry Miniatures now have their 1904 Rolls Royce Staff Car in production. There will be a few at the London Toy Soldier Show on 25th June and orders can be placed now.

The car and occupants comprising of Driver, 2 Staff Officers and a General Officer retails at £119.95 painted and £69.95 as a kit of parts, for all of you who prefer to do your own thing.

I enclose some pictures of the finished article.

See you at the show.

And here are the other versions with figures! The first shows the tank with hatches closed with the Officer and lounging squaddie wearing the old service dressed used after the First Wold War while the Mechanic with the refreshments wears the new-fangled RTC overalls and the second shows the Commander climbing into the turret wearing his "Battledress" introduced in 1938.

The Mk VI will be available from next week and I will post pictures as soon as I can.

Regards,
Brian.

Brian.

I like the version with the 3 crewmen.

Here you are Louis. Some more pictures of the set you like.

I call it, "What's that silly beggar up to?" In my mind it depicts the three men watching an RAF type showing off in his plane.

Regards,

Brian.

Brian ,

I have finished painting the castings for Martin, he's had a preview and I'll pass it onto his daughter very soon when I catch up with her here in Perth for safe transport 'Back to Blighty'

I followed you painting instructions, and used the Tradition of London 'Squadron Range' officer as my turban guide, so I hope its correct.

Hope you all like it,

regards, John.

Hi John

The Bhopal Lancers look good. There are two minor points which might enhance the figure: 1) The wrist loop on the Lance was generally blancoed white for parades and the sword scabbard was only, usually, covered with leather on campaign.

Having said that you have made your usual excellant job of the figure.

Regards.
Brian.

Where can I buy Yeomanry Miniatures from? I couldn't find a website. They look lovely pieces.

Hi Isandlwana,

Yeomanry Miniatures is a small one-man business situated in the south of England and can be contacted by E-mail at "yeomanryminiatures@virginmedia.com" or contact Brian Harrison at Yeomanry Miniatures, Flat 10 Dolphin Lodge, Grand Avenue, Worthing, West Sussex, BN11 5AL. The telephone number is 01903 501028.

I am very friendly and happy to chat about all things military. I am also not adverse to making "specials" for customers. Johnnybach, I am sure, would be happy to confirm.

Regards,

Brian.

Hi I. I certainly can confirm that Brian makes "Specials" - and in fact - he's a bit "special" himself.

Like the Man from Delmonte - he likes to say "Yes"! He's also a fellow Treefrogger!

Get in touch I. - and Brian will send you a catalogue of his Soldiers, vehicles - and a growing armoury of products - even a NAAFI wagon or an Ambulance soon! (If you need a do-nut or a bandage). You can buy them ready painted - or have a lot more fun - by painting them yourself.

The products - (and Brian) - come highly recommended - by johnnybach.:D

For all of you eagerly awaiting the arrival of the mobile canteen, here are some pictures from Dave Love showing the progress. He tells me that I should receive the parts to be cast in resin witin 24 hours. These will ten be sent to VLS Resin Casting to be moulded. When this has been done the first set of castings will be returned to him so that he can ensure the metal parts fit properly and the first assembled model will be sent to Alan Caton so he can make the figures.

Hope you like the pictures.DSCF9176.JPGDSCF9174.JPGDSCF9177.JPGDSCF9184.JPGDSCF9186.JPG

Looking goood Brian - I'm currently warming up for it on a couple of :DDave's former works - one for me and a friend - so hoping to learn my way around how to paint it. Looks to be a superbly detailed model - so looking forward to it a bit later on. Give Dave a BIG pat on the back! johnnybach

PS - No sugar in my tea for me please.

Next you'll be telling me you don't want a do-nut just a wad!

Brian.
