Yeomanry Miniatures (1 Viewer)

Hi Crazy Gunner, Have attached some reference pics. Every picture I have seen shows small variations, position of lamps. single or double wheels at rear, different headlamps etc. The majority, but not all, Crossleys were used by the Royal Flying Corps and it can only be assumed that these mods were created by the individual squadrons. This vehicle has been created as a generic type typical of the period based on the attached pics. Trooper

Gentlemen,

I am posting some pictures of the Mk VI Light Tank of the 1930's which was on display at the London show. This is the prototype model and not the production model. Before adding this to the Yeomanry Miniatures Range Alan will be making figures to go with it. When in production in the New Year the Tank will be available with the hatches closed, as per the photographs or with Commander and Gunner in the open hatches.

I hope you lie the model and any comments you have will be gratefully received.

Regards,

Yeoman.Picture1.jpgPicture2.jpgPicture3.jpgPicture4.jpg

I thought you might like to know that Yeomanry Miniatures now have their 1904 Rolls Royce Staff Car in production. There will be a few at the London Toy Soldier Show on 25th June and orders can be placed now.

The car and occupants comprising of Driver, 2 Staff Officers and a General Officer retails at £119.95 painted and £69.95 as a kit of parts, for all of you who prefer to do your own thing.

I enclose some pictures of the finished article.

See you at the show.

Very nice. Want to see the figures that go with it. Very unique piece. -- Al

Picture2.jpgPicture3.jpgPicture4.jpgPicture5.jpgHi Guys,

Following my post of the pictures of the MkVI Vickers Light Tank I now have some pictures of the earlier Mk IV. Again this is the prototype but this time I have converted two figures to go with the tank. They represent The East Riding of Yorkshire Yeomanry who were issued with this version of the tank in the early 30's and was the last two man light tank. They wear the last version of the service dress issued before the introduction of "Battle Dress" which was worn throughout WW2. I have planned a third figure to go with these but this will not be ready until after Christmas and then these will form one of the sets to go with this model.

I hope you like this model and any comments you have will be greatfully received.

Regards,

Yeoman.

I quite like these little tankettes. It will be a fine series. -- Al

I'm not totally thrilled with the plain dark green paintjob, but the tank itself and the figures look great. I would much prefer one of the camouflage schemes for this vehicle posted by a fellow collector on this thread.

Hi Louis

The idea behind these vehicles was to depict the early vehicles issued to British Army units in the early thirties when all army vehicles were painted in a shiny bronze/green much as they were again painted after WW2. The camouflage schemes depicted by Artillery Crazy were not introduced until late 1939 and early 1940. I have no doubt that I will get requests to paint them in this manner and I am open to negotiations once they are in production.

Regards,

Yeoman (aka Brian)

Hi Wayne,

Brian has fantastic sets......some of which are here in this thread and others that come up in pics of the Annual London trade show/fair.
Attached a very nice set I have for 7 years now ( the maximgun and carriage, the standing officer and the one on horse back MKL and the cavalry trooper, charging Trophy......for sure Brian has equivalents ( given that Trophy and MKL are no longer trading). Not only that but once you get his catalog - Brian can e-mail it to you, the options and combination are infinite.....11923.jpg11922.jpg11920.jpg11919.jpg:):salute::
Join the Artillery Fan club found here in the forum and you will see many more samples from several of us memebers that regulary post pictures and you are more than welcome to add some of your own. That is a great way of us to share information and exchange ideas within the community....

Hi Wayne,

Things are good..The economy stable...far from quite.Being here makes me be far from the main trading areas for our hobby so I end up with a long supply chain.
Do check e-bay under Trophy , they have a metal 6 inch on sale.
From time to time a Toy Army Workshop ones pop up for sale, but it has been a year since I last saw one! I really regret that TAW is gone....but that was a war casualty now. With all manufacturers going over to China for the mass production the traditional art and craft suffers.....
Let us keep in touch. In my albums you can see more pictures of the 6 inch and other British WW1 heavies.

Regards,

Luiz

Luiz,
I saw the gun you refered to on e-bay, can't afford it at that price which for sure will increase, right now I will get the resin kit as I enjoy building a kit every now and again, be sure I have already looked at your pictures, I have put my own humble few guns on there today.
Cheers.

Hi Wayne,

Great to know that you enjoy building sets. Check the scale link at www.scalelink.co.uk, they have fantastic sets in metal and resin for those of us that have the gift of building. These along with WETS down under are great sources for soldiers to man your guns.
On a separate note, please do add pictures and as many as you want do not shy......wait until you see some of the guys here in the forum, such as Martyn and others, their collections are work of art ( not to mention the kind of budget that has been invested in putting them togehter )........

Best Regards,

Luiz

Hi Waynepoo

Sorry for the delay in responding to your post. My server has been down for nearly two weeks and I am now juust catching up.

At the present time I do not have a web site but I am working on it. Still some thirty to forty figures to completee and photograph to give a comprehensive sample of my products, in the meantime I am posting pictures of all new releases on this thread together with a selection of other items in the list. My E-mail address is yeomanryminiatures@virgin media .com and if you send me your address I will post a listing to you as it is alittle too big to E-mail it.

I will also undertake commissions if there is something special you are looking for.

Regards,

Brian (Yeoman)

My first off the line Model T of the Aussie Light Car Patrol and certificate have both arrived safely and taken up residence in my collection (although my son is seeking to re-deploy it to his room). It looks even better in person than in the photos.:smile2:

Hi Louis,

I'm so pleased that the Aussie Model T Ford arrived safely and that you are pleased with it. The Model T Crewe Tractor will be in production soon. I have had a few problems with getting the rear coupling to cast which has delayed the start of production. The scenic base has also created a few problems but I hope these have been overcome now. I also intend to have the Crossley Lorry in Production by the date of The March show in London. There will be several versions including a lorry with a tilt with the sides rolled up and a lorry without tilt. We have re-worked the wheels for this vehicle and it will not only be possible to have it with either double rear wheels or single rear wheels but also with either spoked or wire wheels.

Regards,

Brian.
